It’s a weird window for me as I really really like Neto and Eze as players but I don’t like them business wise, for different reasons, and think we’re better off investing in other areas but at least I can fall back on the fact I really rate them as players and happy to trust Ange if we do sign them.

It’s complete speculation to say that any of his injuries are recurring issues. He’s been unfortunate as far as I can see, it’s not the same thing troubling him over and over.

He would also be seen as a replacement for Son in a few years, let him develop at his own pace. A bit like what we would have done with Nusa imo.
I just think he’s not a player you pass on if you have a realistic chance to sign him. (Ie he’s happy to come and the financials are manageable.)

Regarding his position I think he could be the future Son replacement or the future Maddison replacement depending how you want to develop him.

As much as I rate Neto, buying him and spending £60m would be insanity. He missed half a season last year, 2/3 season the year before and then 18 months the year before that. Two hamstring injuries in 2023/24 and with a player's first year of Ange's style of football ending up with muscle injuries (Udogie, Romero, Micky, Johnson, Richarlison, Werner, Davies, Porro) the likelihood of his hamstrings going again just makes this a ridiculous waste of our budget
Missing 18 months in a year wow that really is a bad injury

Assuming Neto is signed, it’d be interesting a year from now to see how often he’s fit for selection.

I fear he’ll be missing as much as he’s available if his injury history is anything to go by.

I'm not surprised he picks up injuries when Wolves expect him to run the full length of the pitch to counterattack :ROFLMAO:

What a baller btw...

Just buy him so he never plays against us again. :ROFLMAO: Lost too many points to Wolves last season because of him!

He can play equally well on the left. He can play across the front 3
As can Johnson and Kulusevski can play central. Why do we people still think we need to have 2 in each specific position?

I think Joao Gomes was equally brilliant in that move and the one we should be looking to sign.

Neto has personally spoken with Ange and is keen.
Wouldn't Wolves have to give permission for this to happen. I'm talking about direct Ange<>Neto talks?

Not through intermediaries or agents?

Maybe they have??? Even if they haven't it happens all the time with every club. The clubs only generally kick up a fuss about it nowadays when the player starts acting up and refusing to train or play, because it's so common place.

Presumably also the case with Doue and his entourage doing the rounds at potential Premier League suitors.

Don't think it's indicative of a deal agreed in principle with the parent club.
