I know it was always unlikely, but I can't help but feel disappointed. Just one of those 'what could have been' situations

It’s massively disappointing mate and it’s the same old story. We never seem to get these deals over the line. Dybala signing had our rivals shitting themselves including city and Liverpool. I just don’t think we’ve done enough without Dybala signing to bridge the gap now.

Exactly this. It was always a bonus one but the key was to complete Sess and Lo Celso. Then we can just try the ambitious one until the end. I'm still happy in the fact that Eriksen is still here so for me it's simple, don't sign Dybala then don't sell Eriksen.

If it doesn't happen which looks likely now, who else is ready to go for him again in January?

It really doesn’t sound like there will be any Uturn with Eriksen.
Don’t hold hope on that.

You’re absolutely right with GLC and Sess. Get them done and we have a free swing at anything else.

Yeah that's that then.

Such a shame as the general consensus here two days ago was that we needed two to replace Eriksen.

If Eriksen's off then we haven't succeeded, but I suppose at least we clearly tried this time. Hope for the future?

I'm still hopeful that we may still get him.

Or BF.

2 from 4 we've been told by many of the ITKs.

Unless Eriksen is staying.

So it's completely off.

I guess we haven't left time to move forward with a back up option..

Oh well. Best we can hope for is that he remains a Juve player through the end of their window. They still have long-term FFP issues and will be willing sellers moving forward if his image rights can be resolved. Big worry is that they may just swap him for Icardi.

I think we need to take a very big positive out of this situation.

Who would have thought this time last year that we would have been so close to getting a player of Dybalas class. The fact we came so close to getting him is frustrating, but it shows that as a club we have moved onto the next level where we can genuinely attract and go for top class players.

Do you think we will work on a deal to bring him in January? Juve still need the money.

Those 2 would be GLC and Sess... I'm still hopeful as well, but with 1.5 hours to go, looking bleak

Massive shame, completely clouds over the fact that we're signing two very very good players in GLC and Sessegnon. Just seems like a missed opportunity with Eriksen's uncertain future

Tbh it's not really the same old story in this situation. He sold his image rights to some company as a teenager, and now they demanded us to pay a shit load in order for us to use them. Can't blame Levy etc for not going along and accepting it willy nilly. It's just a bit unfortunate
