So how do Image Star currently get remunerated for the image rights whilst he’s at Juve? Wouldn’t there be an agreement or structure in place already that we could work from? Or is it purely about a cut of the transfer fee everytime?

In football, Image rights are effectively a tax avoidance vehicle, and are used to allow a proportion of a player's earnings to be taxed at a lower rate. However, after years of abuse within the PL, HMRC has clamped down on their use un the UK and now restricts the value of a players's Image Rights to a maximum of 20% of his total earnings. I guess that the big question is whether Dybala can expect our HMRC to be as generous as the Italian authorities...

Dybala would be a statement signing however I don't see us completing this one because they're too many variable surrounding his image rights third party ownership and wages....it is far too tangled for us to complete imo.

It’s pointless of us to pursue this if we didn’t have a chance. So I’m sure it’s going 50/50 at least or else this just was a waste of time. I’m thinking Bruno or Coutinho is dybala backplan

On the subject of image rights, is it not in their interest to have their client playing in the biggest domestic league World wide? Seems daft if they are the sticking point, it's to their benefit if he plays in the PL.

all of his wage demands, agents fees, image demands, etc would only have been unknowns before united had a run at him. Other than making betis poop and get back to the negotiating table i don't see any reason why we'd open any talks if there were any such showstoppers in play.

I can see the move not happening with the image rights stuff, but surely if you bid for a player you speak to the agent and see what wages he would be after
