You guys remember when JJ said we were guaranteed to buy a player of genuine world class ability from Serie A this window? Maybe this is it?!

Given this as clearly been fed to AG, surely it is just a little kick up the bum to ensure Betis don’t fuck around on GLS?
Nah. If that was the case, you don't think Betis would figure the same too? They aren't dumb either and they'd call it bluff (if it was a smokescreen). I don't think this news is out to pressure Betis.

Would be amazed if this happened. Only plausible way is some kind of swap between him and Eriksen & maybe Rose going that way too. That way we can still buy Lo Celso for the 50 odd million quoted and the Dyabla swap evens itself out financially.

Only other positive is that Sarri was treated like shit at Chelsea by the club and especially the fans. He could give this the go ahead to the chairman as a nice little ‘fuck you’ to Chelsea ??

He's been linked with United alot and PSG too.

If we are serious then surely these two will enter the fray.

maybe we can do a smash and grab?

but yeah, i was kinda expecting PSG to go for him to replace Neymar, should he leave. or Man Utd coming in to replace Lukaku.

but would love to have him thou, most likely having us move to a 4-3-3, Him + Kane + Son.

OMG i think i peed a little.

He did say the enquiry is true but weather it happens is another thing.

So leave this to the last 2 weeks.

Ever since JJ said a favourite 1st team player will leave i thought of Dele Alli. Dont think it would be the case though. I wouldnt swap Dele for Dybala.
Forget about how good dele has been and the fact that he still has a high ceiling, he is home grown. We are not selling a top young homegrown talent at this point. Just doesn’t make sense. I could see Lamela outgoing. He played well against Juve. Could see them having an interest.

No way they could demand the same fee as Juve would want for Dybala. As good as GLS may turn out to be, he is not in the same league as Dybala, as things stand. It’s like going into the ford showroom and them wanting 40k for a Mondeo. You turn around and say, well, for £45k I can have a Porsche. The ford salesman is not going to say ‘well I want £45k for the Mondeo.

To me, this smacks of Levy’s signature modus operandi; moving the goal posts at the last minute. Betis are in a difficult position now because they have announced Fekir. They have to sell GLS and it looks like he only wants to come to us. Levy knows this and threatens to go somewhere else unless the deal that’s was agreed is made just that bit sweeter. Dybala is just part of the game.

Doesn't make any sense to me. If we really thought we had a chance of pulling this transfer off we would be trying to keep it under wraps. Thos feel more like a broadcast it everywhere so we can show we tried.

Think it could possibly be a smokescreen for Lo Celso, but not on our end.
It would make sense that Betis have asked us to put out the info so they can say we've moved on from Lo Celso while they finish up their spending.
Good god I hope its genuine though:nailbiting:

The mail report we first made contact a month ago. Just because we are only just hearing about it now, doesn't mean this hasn't been going on in the back ground for ages. The deal could be quite far down the line, hence we are hearing about it now. The window only has two weeks left so if talks are going on, they must have progressed to a certain level. That said obviously I can't see this happening, but if it did, it would be a huge statement of intent, I'd be ecstatic.

I do agree though, why would the club leak the news now, because it's clear the info has come from the club...it's strange.

Other reports are saying Wolves are in talks to sign Khedira and Kean from Juve (which would be amazing for them). Maybe Juve are having a clear out, they’ve got a massive squad.

This transfer right here put us in another level.

Dybala is world class with a lot to prove, if Pochettino could bring out the best of him, we would have the best attacking partnership in the world.

But I think this will only happen if Eriksen goes, unfortunately.

The timing of the stories are really odd. Seems like all 3 of the reports (Dan KP, AG, Mirror) all came out within minutes of each other, which means that it can only be 1 of 2 things:

1) A deal is close (Asensio Injury pushed them to bid asking price on Eriksen and we moved on Dybala knowing what Juve wants for him as he and Ronaldo are not warm and Dybala's brother has talked about him needing to leave Juve)
2) Pressure on Betis (most likely)
