Robust centre back, a solid presence at the back for the Paraguayan national squad and Toluca over the years. If I had to venture a comparison with a previously linked South American player, I'd say a mix of Cata Diaz and Diego Lugano. He's been absolutely crucial at the back for Paraguay: with him at the back they were the best team in the region, without him they slipped to third in the World Cuo Qualifiers.

He'd be a huge gamble, though, could end up being anything in between a Naybet or a Rocha. IMO he'll be a good solid player for Sunderland after a couple of Heurelho kind of blunders, once he gets used to the rythm.
