The quote from AVB talking about the 'guarantees' given to him by Levy really caught my eye as well. With the alleged interest from PSG, I don't think Levy can back out of those guarantees now.
For the first time I'm 100% convinced Bale will be a Spurs player next season. I wonder what the other guarantees were?

Well articles and recent ITK would indicate that Villa could be signing. Baldini is on a mission to get him apparently.Hope we get him but I don't see how Levy can guarantee the signing of someone elses player, that sounds more like Mr Perez in Madrid

Absolutely, I just doubt Levy would have promised AVB that he'd sign him. He might have said we'll go all out to get him though, personally if we signed David Villa and Paulinho I think my head would explode. It would be Klinsmannesque in it's beauty.

That's not the sort of thing Levy could guarantee though. With Bale, that's in our control. Maybe it's a guarantee of not waiting 30 seconds before the end of the transfer window before offering a half-eaten sandwich and some expired Hear Say tickets in exchange for Leandro.
