I remember that and I think that was the reason - couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it.

Watched them recently. Player still had a towel inside his shirt.

Until English football decides to ban a lot of the bollocks associated with English football, England will always be shite.

I thought that was the reason that that dickhead Shotton had one stitched onto the inside of his shirt?

Yea that's what I meant sorry - do they still use that method then?

In any case, i bloody well hope we won't be seeing that sight again next year!

Between the towels, changing the dimensions of the pitch and fouling goalkeepers, it's hard to know where to start with those ****s.

Well they were playing Arsenal or someone recently and I saw the ****s using a towel. Just an ordinary towel-he got it from the ballboy or whatever.

That's one thing Tottenham and Arsenal fans can unite on is the loathing of anti-football extraordinaires Stoke City, brilliantly characterised in Tony Pulis!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2073349/Ryan-Shotton-booked--Graham-Poll.html

Ryan Shotton should not have been allowed to use a towel from under his shirt to dry the ball on Sunday — another mistake in law by the match official.
Pictures clearly show Shotton drying the ball and circumventing the Premier League’s ban on using towels on the touchline.
Under laws of the game, items other than the basic shirt, shorts, socks, shin guards and boots must have the sole purpose to protect a player physically and pose no danger to others.
In the first instance the referee should tell the player to remove the towel and any refusal or repetition should result in a caution.
Interestingly, both Stoke goals came from Shotton’s unfair long throws. Match officials should now be aware of the tactic and stop this unsporting act immediately.

Last season, Stoke’s pitch was one of the smallest in the top flight, measuring 100x64metres — the minimum dimensions permissible. That looked set to change this season after the club qualified for the Europa League, as pitches in UEFA competition must measure 105x68m.

However, to ensure that the club continued to make the most of Delap and Shotton’s potent throws, they have marked out two pitches at the Britannia Stadium — one for domestic competition and another for European games.

IIRC Gomes and Cudicini are out of contract at the end of the season. Would anyone want Robbo back? He's still a great keeper and a top gentleman. I'd like him here.

Think about it Robbo is one of the main reasons Blackburn got relegated. Did you see Alcatraz's goal?

Please no Robbo at the Lane.

Beats me why people pay to watch it every week.
They even let the grass grow long, don't they? Their fans seem to find it all very amusing-even referencing the rugby comparisons in chants, right? Fair play to them for the noise they make but I would love to see them going into administration or something.

Recommend that Venky's sell Blackburn and buy Stoke.

Has anyone given thought of the fact that our fixtures next year will be kinder in travelling to Reading, Southampton and potentially West Ham - three footballing sides compared to always horrible games up north in Wolves, Blackburn and hopefully Bolton.

Got to be a good thing right folks?!

Haha never thought of that, that's a good point, especially as I live in Southampton :D Can't wait to see us there.

Kicked off the park, long ball (second balls and knock downs etc) and generally in our faces style of play will definitely be more significant I reckon :)

The one team I pray to God who end up in a relegation battle next season are Stoke.

Sorry, had to quote this as there wasn't an 'Agree x100' option to click. That would be a great day in the history of the Premiership.
