Fine. Though would be cautious about a player with one good season in a league like Austria. He should probably give it another season, but for a good sum he might be worth the risk.

Some would point to Haaland, but it's worth pointing out that Haaland is younger, did well in two leagues and had a insanely good record, including in europe (8 goals in 6 in CL vs 1 in 8 in both competitions)

"interested"...what's next, "considering a bid", "preparing a bid", "will be completed within 48 hours"? ?

So not looking forward to waking up to the “Daka: we are very interested but they want stupid money and we aren’t willing to pay it.” ITK in the morning.

They actually do have a few. Okafor who they’ve just signed from Basel is electric. And they’ve got a Malian lad called Sekou Koita who I think is a superstar in waiting as well. Their scouting is honestly off the charts.
It’s not just scouting.

It’s development.

Many clubs could (and some do) sign talents like the ones Salzburg sign but then they just rot in the reserves or get a game here or there, make a mistake, and are never seen from again.

For as much crap as RB get for being owned and glamorously sponsored by a giant drink corporation I’d actually say what they do is good for football. They own several clubs and genuinely develop brilliant football players.

Can’t say the same for the PSGs, Man City’s, and Chelsea’s of the world who simply horde players, stifle their development and either kick them to the curb or sell them on for a bit more than what they paid for them years later. Meanwhile they grossly inflate the transfer market by throwing money around carelessly. That’s not to mention the civil rights atrocities committed to get said money...

Apologies for the rant but I’ve had this bottled up since the PSG vs RB semi final and people were acting like RB were the bad guys.

Szoboszlai has a 24m euro release clause, Haaland had a 20m. I would be surprised if Daka had mad release clause and not 'sensible'
Is that Szoboszlai release clause real? Can’t believe it hasn’t been activated if it’s real.

Tbf Ally has been very selective when mentioning strikers. He only mentioned Watkins in reference to Sun bloke who said we were in for him, along with saying Wilson was merely an option while King was unlikely when everyone on here thought one of the two was guaranteed.

Not saying Daka is happening, but equally I doubt he would bring this up if there wasn't at least something to it. I mean, didn't he basically outline our entire 2019 summer transfer window by saying our main targets were Lo Celso, Ndombele, Sessegnon and a striker before anyone else. I think he might've even been the first journo to pick up on Clarke too.

I get the impression we're pushing hard for either Milik or Daka and both are extremely difficult deals, while Diallo is more of a safe fallback option.
Pretty sure that was Dan Kilpatrick.

If there's one thing Ally reiterates throughout all his videos when talking about transfers, it's that he doesn't like to mention 'what he's heard' until he's had it confirmed by multiple, reliable sources. Fingers crossed for this one.

Very true. Let’s see if the other main spurs journos like Kirkpatrick piggyback on this and say anything today. That’s usually also a good indicator of how correct a story is.

Trying not to think about it but Ndombele wriggles out of a tight press and arrows a pinpoint ball to Daka on the halfway line, who burns the turf before burying it in Allison's top corner. I can dream, can't I?

Dragon this morning when asked again if it's Daka:

It’s not and I keep seeing Dakas name everywhere but what concerns me is we a million per cent bid for Watkins so if he’s got that wrong (Ally) how good is his info

the other player is very similar to Daka in age and appearance we would be buying insane potential

This reminds me of when we signed Son and I had absolutely no idea who people were talking about or how they knew what he might or might not do. Daka is certainly no Troy Deeney from his clips, but he appears to play up front. ?
If you knew the Bundesliga, then you knew Son.

Who knows the Austrian league??

Apart from Austrians.
