We have reached agreement with Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar for the permanent transfer of Troy Parrott.

Having joined us in July, 2017, Troy progressed from the Club’s Academy into the first team to make his competitive debut in September, 2019, in a Carabao Cup tie against Colchester United, with his Premier League debut following shortly after.

The Dublin-born attacker made four competitive senior appearances in our colours.

Bit sad he didn’t get a preseason with us to see if he could do a job in the squad, especially with him being club trained.

all the best Troy

Would be interesting to see if there is an evaluation done on what went wrong with Troy Parrot. I get not every young hot prospect makes it, but we need to learn because early on we had really hopes for him. Something happened along the way that we didn't pick up. It will only help with increasing success with our current crop

I can well imagine him making the final decision to go himself, he'll play and be successful at AZ and who knows where that might lead.

Probably the right move. We do struggle to shift players and if we have high hopes for Lankshear then it opens up that path.
