Thats a shame Lighty.

That's a bit weird that you'd put that in front of your support for the club.

I've supported Spurs since 73/74 before if you count not going to matches, between 74/75-83/84 I missed possibly 10 home games, and went to a hell of a lot of away games 1980 onwards. my jobs, finances, and health prevented me the majority up until ENIC's 2nd season which I then held a season ticket for 2 seasons, but because of health and finances I had to stop going, but I have always found a way of following Spurs whether that be tv, radio, otherways or when I could afford it going to games.

I now am officially early retired without the finances to be able to afford it anymore, and after watching his teams style of football for many years, I don't intend to waste the little money I do have spare very occasionally to watch boring dull football. if he proves me wrong and I can afford to go I might, but I will never chant his name.

I have witnessed what he did by pissing Chelsea/Man U players off and get sacked and get a hefty pay-off, and as many accuse Levy of "a leopard never changes its spots".

so many of you think he will start winning us trophies, he did that for Porto a club that's rich in Portugal, where like in the old Scotland either Porto or Benfica takes the spoils, he did it with Chelsea at a time Abramovic was throwing money around, he did it in Italy and Inter are still 1 of the biggest clubs in Italy, he did it with RM, then again with Chelsea who had the foundations built over a long period. he won 2 trophies with Man U in his 1st season, but look at the money he spent on them.

I will always follow Spurs, but I don't have to like the manager, I never liked George Graham

Can anyone recommend a car parking place on a non match day please, as close as possible to the stadium?
Taking my Dad on the tour and he struggles with his knees so the closer the better. I'm aware of the sainsbury's car park but think we'll need longer than the 3 hrs you get there when you include lunch, tour and browsing round the spurs shop.
Cheers guys

I don't think there are any parking restrictions on the streets around the ground on non event days so anywhere along Park Lane should be ok. Perhaps someone could corroborate this?

The area very close to the stadium comes under Tottenham North CPZ with parking restricted 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday not just event days so be careful.

I would contact [email protected] explain the situation to them, they just might get you the permission to park in Sainsbury's a little longer. if they can't as I understand you don't get lunch during your tour, take a sandwich with you and eat that before or after, or avoid the shop. the disabled bays in Sainsburys are a good 5-10 minute from the main entrance

Anyone any advice for parking on Boxing day? Where's best? Is it likely to be easy or a pain?

Yes, watch it on Amazon - but seriously, there are a few industrial sites up Brantwood Road (although charging £20)

Follow up question, how easy is it to get from Stratford to WHL on a matchday (by public transport)?

Very easy. Train from platform 11 at Stratford direct to Northumberland Park. Four trains an hour and only takes 15 minutes.

But, no trains on Boxing Day so it will have to be a tube job.

I do believe that trains don’t run on Boxing Day so would pay for parking unless tubes do work that day

edit: take it in mind that due to no trains it’s best to get there as early as possible

I always park in ikea but would have check Boxing Day opening hours.

Obviously at your own risk though
The last couple of games Ikea has been a bit of a nightmare to get out of, am going by train Saturday but I think I'll be on the lookout for a different place to park moving forward - maybe back up on the A10?

Never had much of a problem getting out but getting in especially on a weekday can be a nightmare

They are digging up the road north - A1010 I think? Hopefully once that ends it might not be too shabby.

It certainly feels like everyone has "discovered" Ikea as it could almost be a signposted official car park there are so many Spurs fans walking back and forth.

As per a previous post I'm also driving to game on boxing day v Brighton and need to find parking.

Are there any schools that offer parking outside the restricted area as I'd sooner my money went there than too a random car park.

Anything within a 30 minute walk or so
