Alan Pardew has been given a seven match ban for the "headbutt" on David Meyler.

The first three matches will see Newcastle manager Alan Pardew banned from the stadium. The next four will see him banned from the touchline.

Pardew is also fined £60,000 by the Football Association and warned as to his future conduct. The 52-year-old was sent to the stands for the incident during the second half of the Newcastle's 4-1 win at the KC Stadium earlier this month.

In a statement, Newcastle say the club and Alan Pardew have accepted the decision and "now wish to draw a line under the matter".

Pardew said: "As I have made clear, I deeply regret the incident and again wholeheartedly apologise to all parties for my conduct, which I understand was not acceptable.

"I will accept the punishment handed down by the FA today. My focus now turns to preparing the team for this weekend's game against Fulham and finishing the season as strongly as possible."

Personally think five would've been enough. This makes it seem like the incident was worse than when Suarez abused Evra.

Managers should be held to a higher standard than players though.

Hooligans are usually banned from grounds when they're identified, there were 24,903 positive ID's in Pardew's case. :D
