Steven Bergwijn has been perpetually linked with a Premier League move since bursting onto the scene with PSV in 2014.

The 22-year-old is now the main man for the Eredivisie giants and is currently in possession of the famous number 10 jersey.

Not seen him play, but is in a resurgent Dutch squad, although I don't see him as a Kane alternative. I still think we need a CF, although the Leicester boy would be a poor option for me.

I think a lot of people forget that one of Jose's better teams had Robben on one side, the Irish boy on the other & a CF as a front 3. I think he's been less than impressed with Lucas, so I think he sees Son, on one side, SB on the other & Kane as the CF.

What are you basing that upon, other than wishful thinking on your part? Mourinho has bigged him up a couple of times in interviews and starts him in nearly every game. He had Gazzaniga aiming clearances at 5'-8" Lucas in multiple successive matches.

Lucas has produced goals and assists for him and he closes down well, as well as scurrying about to no great effect for 20-30 minutes at a time. What bit of mind-reading did you rely upon to conclude that Mourinho doesn't rate Lucas?

It's called squad building.

Every player we sign isn't necessarily directly replacing someone else especially when we don't have anyone to replace.

If JM does decide to go for a front 3 then he has Kane, Son, Bergwijn, Lucas and Lamela to pick from which I believe is a good number for squad rotation purposes
