TEAM FORM _____ Olympiacos _ WWWWW _____ Spurs - WDLDW ____ (All Competitions)
Olympiacos have met us just twice before in a competitive fixture; these were both in the 1972/73 UEFA Cup, when we won 4-0 at home in the first leg of our last 32 tie, before losing 1-0 away in the return leg. Since 2009-10, Olympiacos have won 5 of their 6 European home matches against English opposition (L1), with 3 wins against Arsenal and one apiece against Manchester United and Burnley. Their only defeat in this run came in a UEFA Champions League Group Stage match versus in December 2015 (0-3).

Olympiacos have won their last five matches in European competition (all qualifiers); they have never won six consecutive such matches in their history. They are winless in eight Champions League matches (D1,L7), since 2-1 victory against Dinamo Zagreb in November 2015. Its their joint-longest winless run in the competition alongside and eight-game run ending in October 2003.
Olympiacos have played 116 Champions League games in their history, 12 more than all other Greek teams combined (Panathinaikos 74 & AEK Athens 30).
We have failed to win any of our Group Stage games away from home in 2018/19 (D2 L1) but won two of the three on the road in knock out stages on the way to the final; beating Borussia Dortmund and Ajax in the last 16 and semi final respectively.

I think we will win this comfortably.

I was at WHL for the 1972 UEFA cup tie back in "Old God's time" Halcyon days.

Have we won any of our CL opening group games?

Would be nice to get off to a strong start. Hopefully we can go in to the Bayern game in good form in Europe and domestically.

Dunno they're pretty formidable at home and currently on form.

This'll be tough. Insane atmosphere and they'll want to beat a CL Finalist too.

Be nice to start with a win.

I reckon we will see Davies, Dele and Moura getting starts with Rose, Lamela and Son dropping to the bench. Maybe KWP will start at RB if he's fit.

will be interesting to see whether they come at us or sit back, the longer we hold it scoreless the more likely they come out and leave us the space to hurt them

Expect to see Alli and Moura

Intimidating place to play but we should have the quality to see them off without too much fuss. That said, we do sometimes have a habit of making things hard for ourselves so who the fuck knows.

Finally got some decent WiFi and landing a couple of days in one of the Greek Islands already the locals have noticed my spurs tattoos and have started the banter, even the cabbie who took us from the airport to our hotel gave it to me FFS.
If we put a display on like Saturday then we should get off to a good start, getting out the group has to be our priority coys.

When we win u must have it with the locals Shelfy, find an Olympiakos bar and take it alone.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer here, but their CL home record is impressive. They don’t lose much, and have beaten big guns like Barca, Pool etc over the last few years.
2-3 win to Spurs. Sir Harry brace and Lukas in the 96th
