If Poch does go- who would you get in:

1). Immediately?

----and----

2). Long term?

Why two choices? Because, simply put, IF a change is made, we might not/probably won't get in the "ideal" candidate immediately (I put the word ideal in quotation marks because you simply never know with these things; even a seemingly perfect choice like, say, a Carlo Ancelotti could flame out at Tottenham due to having to deal with our- um- parameters...).

If you think someone we could get in immediately would be the perfect fit then fine; if, however, you feel that a caretaker manager to see out the rest of the season would be more realistic before, say, going for gold in May, then talk about that.

As far as short term goes: would one of Poch's assistants fit the "immediate"-bill, e.g. Jesus Perez (with whom- at the very least- there'd be far less of a language barrier in the pressers), and even if you think he (or an equivalent to him) would work out and/or a better option (at least for now), would he- to use an example of a person on Poch's staff- accept the move up from assistant to the gaffer's chair? Martin Jol did it (going from assistant coach to manager a few games into the 2004 season), but Jol wasn't exactly Jacques Santini's long-time right-hand man, whereas a guy like Perez is someone whose career is intimately intertwined with Mauricio Pochettino. So again: if interim, then who?

Lastly, who would you want to manage us long term? Is he gettable? Would he be able to work with Levy? And again- who is he?

As for my answers to my own questions:

I think Poch needs to go because I don't think his heart is in it any longer. I would get someone liked/trusted by the players to manage us until January and then I would try to get a permanent person in, one with a solid pedigree as far as both spotting and working with young talent is concerned.

Other than that I'm as lost- and heartbroken- as everyone else. I cannot believe this is happening. I love Poch- he has brought me a LARGE number of my all-time greatest moments as a Tottenham Hotspur supporter (a journey which began in 2002), and for that I will always be grateful. Unfortunately though, I think that mentally, he's done with us (pure conjecture obviously)- and going on that, I think his time in N17 is up.
