Poor lads. Holiday in Australia to do 45 mins against weak opposition with nothing at stake other than building our brand and getting adulation.

Most would pay a lot for the privilege, rather than getting paid shit loads for it.
Half the squad have their eyes on the euro's & spending time with families at this stage of the year... not flying to Asia to 'build a brand'.

Player welfare and their happiness over Levy's pockets everyday!

Its a long ass flight, but by all accounts they'll be in comparative luxury. They get to have a gentle kickabout and a bit of a holiday. No dramas.

It's basically a short working holiday.

Shame Veliz couldn’t join if he’s been marginalised at Sevilla. Just to travel and feel part of the squad again would have been good for him. Would’ve been good to see him vs PL opposition too with nothing at stake.

Poor footballers getting flown on holiday to Australia for a week. Not sure why such a big deal is made out of it.
I agree if we'd had a 50+ game season I'd be concerned. As it is we've played pretty much the minimum we could have. They'll be fine

It's only a week , there's still teams playing their season like La Liga and still cup finals. It makes little difference to be honest.

Levy's pockets being filled , so are Newcastle filling Saudi pockets?
Load of fuss about nothing, Sonny probably nip off to S Korea afterwards so he was going to do a similar trip anyway, maybe some of Aussie staff will stay on as well and not come back with the rest of the squad.

Hmmmm

I was at the Spurs vs City game and flew In from Perth on the Friday and back last Tuesday.
That was economy. No sleep specialist, no special dietician and def no private flight..

might be an additional 5 hours but, they’ll be fine. It’s not flying to the bloody moon

Nice plane, but it's 33 years old! Needs an on-board engineer to fly!

Global football week in Melbourne , can understand why they wanted Spurs with the Aussie connection, Woolwich women also there so that's a let down.

Spurs fans section , sold out for active Spurs fans assume there is still plenty of space for inactive Spurs fans.

I'd love to see a match between our men and their women 🤣

Ange said the same himself and that if we had, "we wouldn't be going"

In my head when I wrote this we were playing Melbourne Kangaroos or something, wasn't intended as a dig on Newcastle 😅

If Ange and the players said yes to this then there isn't any point in arguing it. Newcastle are doing the same as well. There are still European finals and cup finals to be played, so really they're not missing much of anything.

Tournament players will join up with their countries and the rest will go on their holidays.
