I think as he controlled it a bit with his hand, he gained an advantage to then be able to waltz though the Newcastle defence before scoring. Would be ruled out in the league.
Unless Michael Oliver is ref...
And arsenal is the team involved ;)

I think it has to be the action immediately before the goal... Is the mazy dribble the same action...

Maddison wasn't putting his hands up to stop the throw imo, he was saying it hadn't gone out and I thought the same.

Happy for the fans there that we actually give a shit. Would have been easy for the lads to go and put a half-arsed laboured performance but they've actually played very well.

As I type that we concede.

Bit poor for that goal, royal moved into middle leaving the space out wide, and keeper needs to be not pushing it into middle of the goals there.

No surprise it comes from the left back area
I was just thinking Royal had a good first half but that was almost all in attacking midfield positions nowhere near left back position.

More Spurs fans or more Newcastle fans in the stadium?
I'll be very surprised if it's more Toon fans than Spurs. Tottenham is one of the biggest English clubs in the world. (Man Utd, Liverpool, Leeds, Arsenal, Chelsea and now City are the other ones)

We dominated that half but yet again we missed an absolute sitter to make it 2-0. Johnson seems to be missing sitters every single match now, it’s scary.

Then Emerson is really poor for their goal and the midfield was cut open too easily.

We should have had a clear penalty too.

We have to improve our quality in the final third though, we get in to some amazing areas but then we either fail to turn it in to a chance or miss a sitter.

I'm sporadically watching this between work.

Everytime I have a look seems we have the ball down their end.

Way too harsh to blame Emerson or the keeper for that goal. Emerson had to come round to cover initially then is completely overloaded, the keeper had to get something on it as the back post player was coming in unmarked for a tap in. What caused it was Porro + the midfield getting caught ahead of play and then just strolling back no effort leaving the defence outnumbered. Friendly or league game that laziness gets punished.
