Our wide players didn’t even attempt to beat any man. Johnson sometimes gets into good positions but he can’t take on anyone on. As for Son I love the guy but the less said the better. It was really really poor!
I've just seen a clip in the Johnson thread and blimey, it was embarrassing.

Our squad really isn't good enough at all and with Sonny and BJ, we could play for three hours and not create anything.

I feel sorry for big Dom and Deki because they're having to do the work of four every game.

What I don’t get is when people say we played well. We could have played for 5hrs and not score. We really need to go into the transfer market in January or we are set to finish in the bottom half of the table.

Completely agree, until Werner came on. For the amount of stick he gets, he tried to beat his man 3/4 times in the 10 minutes he was on the pitch.

Werner got dug out by Ange, but son and Johnson seem to get a free pass.

Werner is not the answer, but at least he tried to take his man on unlike the others.

He's closer to the answer than Son or Johnson atm.

A front line of Werner, Solanke and Kulusevski has more balance than Son, Solanke and Johnson. Son and Johnson are powder puff unless right in front of goal.

The injury excuse is valid up until a point. We are getting more players injured than players back to fitness.
We have 4 CBs out now
What more proof is needed to understand who's responsible? It's def not bad luck
We are going to run out of players at this rate
Playing in Scotland Celtic can coast along in quite a lot of games. We are full blast from start to finish.
Ange can take responsibility for a fair few of the injuries. Centre backs pulling hamstrings….ridiculous.

A big concern of mine at the moment is that if we do sack Ange, what sort of manager is going to look at this club and think "yeah, I could make that work?".

There going to look at our past managers, what they've said and done, glance up at Levy on his little perch and think "fuck that!".

What manager is going to think he can do what Jose, Conte and Ange couldn't?

you can’t be putting Ange in the same sentence as the other two. The guy plays a different sport to the other two when it comes to tactics. No manager is going to be put off because the great Ange failed. Besides the £10m a year they’ll get I’m sure will sweeten the deal

I threw Ange in there because he's the polar opposite of the other two, both in the way he approaches the game to how he's apparently happy to grow and develop youngsters.
I was looking at their styles and techniques, more than their trophy cabinets.

I was inferring that no matter what part of the managerial spectrum the new name falls into, he's doomed to fail because he won't get what he needs from the board.

The thing I worry about most is style of play, if we'd have had a full squad today, I'm still not convinced that result would have been any different.
No way he chucks on Richarlison and goes 2 up top.
Odobert and Moore may have done a piece of individual brilliance, but otherwise would have hit low crosses into the box that would be defended.
Fresh or not, we're easy to play against.

Odobert and Moore may not have made the wrong decision every fucking time though.

I don't feel sorry for big Dom or our midfielders. The biggest issues for our wingers is the inverted wing backs. There is literally nowhere to go for the wingers unless midfield feeds then early enough to go into space (nobody in our midfield is playing that pass from Gibbs-White).

As for Big Dom, he is getting into spaces but there are times he is shocked the ball is there. That's the difference between him and Kane/Woods/Jota/isak - they gamble and finish the chance.

Our system is crap unless we play fast football. But we overload the middle so there is nowhere to attack. The moment the wing back overlaps we get space in the middle.

I love the players we have in our midfield and at wingback but they are not playing in a way to create space, they seem intent on blocking the middle which works against us offensively and defensively.

My god, where will we be after another 10? Because we're regressing under this man
I'm not sure we are regressing. We are should have beaten forest. But I do believe we are one or two tweaks away from being brilliant.

What we need are more players that Ange is willing to gamble on. He insists on overplaying players, even when injured.

I do miss the experienced head of Pierre and an Emerson even a diet to bring on when we need to control the game

Never thought I'd say it but yeah maybe we miss Hojbjerg when defending a lead. He seemed to do that job quite well

Once he’d got his couple of loose passes on the edge of our box out of his system each game.

Exactly, the inverted fullbacks is one of my biggest problem with Ange. Porro and Udogie/spence should be our Wingers when attacking and Son and Kulu/johnson should be more central but instead Son and johnson is licking the sideline where they dont do any damage at all.

Didn’t see the game yesterday and just saw their goal. MGW ran 60-70 yards unchallenged through the middle of the pitch, one pass and goal.
Fuck injuries, fuck tiredness that is an absolute joke. Again, non existent midfield when we lose possession.

Something has to change if he can’t see where we are so vulnerable and easy to play against. It’s stubbornness or delusion right now. Both are bad traits and will lead to the sack.
