Very true.

Doesn't disguise Ange's failings but ultimately we don't have an ownership who are prepared to invest to win.
Totally agree. Those in power seem to have totally forgotten that first and foremost we are a football club and that is what everything else is built on, not the other way round…

Firstly, "their" project.

Secondly, it's 4 games in, that's hardly a "second" season as a comparison.
That’s why I said he won’t get fired now, but if we are half way through the season and in the position we are now. Do you think levy will hesitate?

Just a convenient stick to beat Ange with. Them scoring was nothing to do with a set piece coach it was just a player in Romero who was weak and a keeper that won’t dominate his box.
But no doubt a set piece coach would have gave him a potion or elixir to make him defend it.

i don't even know how you really blame ange, he can only do what he can with the tools he's given. He's been given a bunch of kids and told to turn em into diamonds, problem is that they are kids and will be inconsistent for the most part.

Once pressure starts ratcheting up over the next month, he's gone by christmas as Levy doesn't like when the anger starts coming at him

I know it was the NLD but the way some of you lot are going on makes it seem like we lost by 3 or 4 goals. We largely dominated the match again but didnt have the quality to convert anything in attack. Arsenal basically parked the bus and prayed that one of their set pieces would come off which to be fair to them, did work. If we were getting hammered I'd get it but we arent playing badly at all.

The real issue is Lange and Levy not getting a top quality winger which we so desperately needed. I got pelters on here when I showed disappointment in making Odobert our only winger purchase and now people are realising we are still severely lacking in that area. Its going to be a testing season due to our lacklustre attacking options but please...enough with the dramatics like we are in a crisis or some BS.

This dominating games is bit of a false stat as we have no points from it. If anything it's even worse to dominate and not take advantage.
It's not a crisis if you are happy with mid table.

We have Bergvall - why not use him?
True, he doesn’t seem like the moment would be too big for him in a game like that he seems unflappable. I just think Eze is exactly what we are crying out for and was clearly our number 1 target, and games like this where you need a bit of spontaneous magic just hammers it home

In my eyes the stadium from their point of view is an entertainment venue that also has a football team play there.

First half we dominated, second half we did nothing and it got worse as the half progressed.
There was no belief when we went behind and that worries me greatly.
I don’t think the subs helped at all but how concerning that 0-1 down in a NLD with half hour to go and we didn’t once look like equalising?

This squad needs more attitude, right now there’s nothing when we’re in adversity. Couple of the ‘senior’ players need taking out imo. I’d go Bergvall, Gray & Odobert as starters for a few games now. Give youth a chance.

Why the fuck does a goalkeeper coach not coach a keeper to come out and clear the area and be more of a presence in the box.

Vicario is costing us games and Ange and his stubbornness is going to end up with him getting sacked.

Just curious where people see our biggest issue lies, in this order for me:

1. Owners-Never set us up to win things, ambition simply not there but e$lewhere.
2. Players-Many just not the required quality.
3. Fans- I know some on here like to blame the impatient (24years only) fans as their moaning doesn’t help the ‘project’ but I blame them for not giving the owners more heat.
4. Manager- Least of our problems, just another fall guy not given the tools.

Remember in pre season where the youngsters were the stars? Now should be their time starting in the cup Wednesday. If they play great I hope we start them again Saturday.

My scapegoat this week is maddison. What did he do?
For me it’s Johnson. I just don’t understand what he brings. He can’t beat his man, he slows down play anything we are on the front foot. Anything remotely interested was only coming from the left hand side.

He could have taken Son off or done something to change it up.

Not sure why you are referring to kids as none played today!

Watching this Spurs side is like exactly watching Wenger's last 2 years at Arsenal.

Both managers put full attacking XI, have lots of possession, be as open as be possible, be a defensive mess in open play & set pieces.

We've spent a fortune since we've been in the new stadium. Over the last 5 years we've got the 4th highest net spend. If you want to complain about the amount of money that we've spent, your expectations are clearly unrealistic.

Thankfully we have a lot of games coming up now, which gives us time and opportunity to start clicking. We need to work in some chemistry and confidence in the attack, and I still believe we have it in us.
It's not about clicking imo. It's just all too predictable once again.

There is a blue print of how to play against us that has been tried and tested over and over again. Every team bar City will use it, and until we tweak the way we play and throw in some variations on how we attack I will without doubt expect us to struggle every game.
