he was the best option last night, giving it to Berb's would have made Jol look like a sychophant trying to apease him after not starting him on Monday

Zokora was our best midfield player yesterday, but as I have said before - He needs someone else alongside him. We have to build our team around Zokora. His movement, agressive playing style, pace are great, but he needs someone who can work well together with him.

Choose 1 from Cerny, Chimbonda, Gardner, Kaboul, Lee, Lennon, Hudd, Malbranque, Defoe or Berbatov

This just shows how little you know surely, some great attitudes there. If any of these guys were great leaders they would have made their presence felt last night regardless of the armband.

I can't help thinking the Zokora thing is a witch hunt. Let's not forget that Huddlestone is more akin to a walking pile of shit than a Premiership level creative midfielder.

I think Zokora or Gardner were best choice for captain last night, i'd have opted for Zokora too but purely because he plays more regularly than Gardner. Its about experience, and Zokora is one of the more senior members of the squad.

So in that case does that mean you make the 60 year old guy you work with manager just because he has the most experience in the place.. Even if he is totally incapable of performing his job let alone making him try to do more....

Makes no sense... We may as well not have had a captain...

Zokora always runs his heart out for the cause. Far more than

Penas
Muddlestone
or
Trymeo

I was delighted he was made captain. You need a defender or midfielder to do the job, and given what I've seen from the team this season, he's often tried to do both at the same time for us. With scant respect from some on here.

Leave him alone you closet Gooners.:evil::evil::evil::evil:
