Hope it'll just be for this season and they don't decide to scrap them permanently.

Understandable for this year, think they should be scrapped beyond the 3rd round going forward too. One chance for a payday against one of the big boys if you get that far, then that’s it.

Also think its high time they got rid of the two legged semi finals in the league cup.

Or, better imo, move to 5 x 18 team league divisions.

For the 21/22 season and beyond they should just make replays optional. If you have two teams who don't want replays then the tie is decided there and then.
If you have one team who want the replay and the other team doesn't then you have the replay.

This makes sure the lower league teams don't miss out financially.

They have, for this season anyway.

I'm happy for the non replays for this upcoming season, but as some have already alluded to, the replays and a share of the financial injection that some lower league clubs receive when drawn against some of the top sides should not be overlooked.

Although not ideal at times for an already congested fixture schedule concerning the top teams, replays I'm sure would've aided some lower league clubs navigate some financial hardships.

On this basis, I feel that I'm all in for replays once normality ensues.

This seems sensible to me. They do it in the FA Trophy.

I understand the financial argument for the smaller clubs but the reality is in an already crowded fixture list replays are a no no .
My solution for the financial problem would be . 64 teams seeded top 32 versus the bottom 32 with the lower seeded club having the option of playing home or away . For instance Crewe v Man Unt play at home with a sell out 8.000 crowd or play at old Trafford where the rewards would be much greater it would be Crewe's choice home or away .
Clubs seeded closer together in the lower leagues were never going to solve them clubs financial woes .
Also the thought that all clubs would play out to the end on the day .
In fact I would go even further than that all leave games should have a conclusion in other words a game finishes even then you would go to penalties for an extra point . It would mean every game you attended would have a positive conclusion .
Well it works for me . Counter arguments expected .

Both would be a good move imo. The league pyramid would lose two clubs but I think that’s for the best anyway. There’s clearly an unsustainable amount of lower league professional clubs.

And you think somehow it would be best for the rest to reduce the amount of games (in Leagues 1 and their most significant income) by 25%.

I doubt you would get 1 club out of the 72 supporting that idea.

Remember refereeing an FA Trophy game some 25 years or so back.
Home club secretaries had agreed there would be no replay, extra time and penalties only.
Problem was the secretary of the away team had not told his manager (who was also the club owner), cue an almighty argument in my dressing room prior to kick-off, in which the FA had to get involved.
FA ruled half hour before kick-off game had to be settled on day.
Game went to extra time, but then I sent off 2 of away team and gave penalty to home team in the ensuing 30 minutes, believe it ended 2-0

Usually I just laugh off most of your suggestions, but actually this one is not terrible.
The Copa del Rey seed all the way through to the last 16, only difference is there is no choice, the game is one legged and played at the venue of the lower ranked team.
Our equivalent over here would be FA Cup First Round. The 32 Non-League Clubs would be at home to the 24 League One Clubs and random 8 League Two Clubs.
In Round 3 the 20 Premier League Clubs would all be away to League One or lower clubs, and there would be 12 all-Championship matches,.
Similar situation would happen in all qualifying rounds so local village fc after a couple of wins would be guaranteed a home tie against a Conference North or South team.
