According to THFC on Facebook:

THFC Facebook said:
Chirpy has gone on his holidays for a makeover.

The popular cockerel said farewell to all his fans at the Norwich City game, as he heads off for a brand new look.

Keep an eye out for the new Chirpy at our home game vs QPR. COYS!

OMG! LOLZ!

This is good news. I miss Good Chirpy and all he stood for.

Fuck you, Evil Chirpy. Fuck you in the face.

Here's a reminder of his descent into evil ...

Saw this on facebook and immediately thought of you Stoof. Good news hopefully, lets hope he doesn't descend deeper into evil.

Evil Chirpy was awesome!

Good Chirpy was just a twee-looking chicken.

Evil Chirpy was a demonic cockerel of death with designs on the opposition's FACE!

Ask yourself which you'd prefer - a chicken that clucks at the opposing fans and sheds feathers on the home support or the demonic cockerel that shrieks fire at the opposition and shelters home fans under his steel wings of awesome?

...

I'm overselling this a bit, aren't I?

I still prefer Evil Chirpy

I think at half time in our next home game they should both be thrown into the centre circle and must fight to the death to see who deserves the place as our one true mascot.

Jenas vs Bentley can be the warm up match.

I could cope with the new keeper, new CB, new midfield, new attack, and new system, but now AVB's gone too far. Enough with the sweeping changes already

Perhaps evil chirpy was a bit slow on the turn and therefore couldn't cope with the high-line. I reckon to combat this issue, new chirpy will actually be a cheetah.

I also hate evil chirpy.....but I can't help but notice we played much better football with the support of evil chirpy and I dread the result of losing him

I like this. As long as it's not Evil Cheetah.

Rubbish. We played good football despite having Evil Chirpy - who is nothing but an Evil and Fuckfaceical distraction.

I hate that guy.

AVB...he's changing things too fast...he's repeating all his mistakes from Chelsea...you can't play that high line...where will the goals come from...he's sold Chirpy

Or maybe Levy is making a last ditch, last minute, as usual, fecking Daniel Levy lasminute.com attempt to find a mascot that Luka does like :chicken:

Maybe evil chirpy is being replaced by a more cunning yet still evil chirpy. He will look sweet and innocent but inside his evil little mind he is hatching:) plans to rule the world or in particular arsenal!

i was thinking along similar lines; something like mandating that players in the first team squad that havent played for the first team for over a year should be eligible for chirpy duty. I mean, what else do the likes of Bentley etc actually do on match days?

Well it's probably for the best. The boo-boys wanted him tarred and...um...feathered, and run out of town, but I never went along with that. Yes he was crap, but while he was our crap I supported him - hell, I think I even sang his name once! But it's time he went. If he should ever visit, I won't boo - but I won't cheer either.
