Yes he was crap, but while he was our crap I supported him - hell, I think I even sang his name once! But it's time he went. If he should ever visit, I won't boo - but I won't cheer either.

This is it. We only really started to become one of the big boys, and get recognition for it once Chirpy became evil. I don't think Evil Chirpy's role in this can be overstated enough. That song from Star Wars is supposed to be intimidating, but it isn't really. How many opposition players were frightened into playing badly because of Evil Chirpy? He probably made visits to the opposition dressing room. I can only hope new Chirpy is even more evil.

My guess is that evil chirpy is infact POTL and has been found out and sacked. Daniel levy is in negotiations to bring in a new chirpy in time before the mascot window closes in April.

Dont be surprised if we end up with a short term mascot at 11.59pm on deadline day.
