With this link i am starting to worry all this good work we have done thus far in the window will be capped by a mare of a deadline day.

A theory:
Capoue has an injury, club announced that it's a sprained ankle, which means he will be out of the team for four weeks.
In fact, it's much more complicated, we were looking for a DM who can replace him, but we didn't have found any available, so we are in market for a CB and shift Chiriches to midfield.

Doubt it's true, but one of the possibilities.
Or we are shifting Dawson.

Sorry, don't buy it.

Even if Capoue is out we've got Sandro, Paulinho and Dembele who can do the job. We don't need anyone to be a makeshift DM as that is the area of the pitch that arguably we have the most depth in.

£7m for a 30yr old CB who many on here think is piss poor. Very strange. Surely there's better CB's we could go for.

Maybe Dawson had been told Vertonghen and Kaboul area first choice. Chiriches possibly even ahead of him and he may have decided it's time to move on.
If we sold him we'd need another cb and one that didn't demand to be first choice.
Dawson proved yet again how much of a liability he is yesterday.

Very bizarre in the sense that it's £2m less than what we got for young Caulker, who imo is a far far better CB. Smh ...

Just an opinion from a guy who works with/translates for Di Marzio (Italian obviously):

Personally I would rather have Spolli than Demichelis

Alderweireld was available for around that same price and he's a hell of lot better (I'd have preferred him to Chiriches too).

Di Marzio has had a brilliant window when it comes to our dealings, so we have to see if this happens.

All that for one month? No chance.

Right footed CB? Doubtful. Dawson, Chiriches and Kaboul are all right sided. Could have got Ilori for the same price, who I thought was left footed (could be wrong though).
Don't buy this story to be honest.

Spolli is Argentinian, so could be brought in to help Lamela settle perhaps. Surely there are cheaper options if that's the reason though...

Too harsh on Dawson. He's great to play against the likes of Stoke and physical teams. Not so good against teams with craft.
He can be very careless at times. This hasn't happened overnight. It's happened on numerous Occasions. We are trying to take our team to another level, Are we not..

And he's too slow to make up ground if he (or Rose - see NLD) makes a mistake with our high line.

I can't help but think of Fast Times at Ridgemont High when I see this guy's name.
