I’d be all for him slagging off a few of our players right now. So that doesnt bother me. It bothers me that these players arent bothering to even try and dont put in any effort in because there mailing it in until the summer when they’ll fuck off. I wish someone at the club would call them out on their bullshit.

I recall you being over the moon when ol' Timmy Sherwood did that.

Only Spurs fans could dismiss Jose as not good enough.
It's like some of you are actually scared of winning something.
Truly mind boggling stuff.

To be fair, I think the bulk of people that dismiss him are doing so due to more nuanced reasons than him not being good enough.

Yep, like failing their stringent personality tests.
Just as boggling.

Sherwood was an inexperienced moron with zero success to back himself up.

Comparing apples and oranges.

Personally, my opinion of whether I want the manager to slag off the players publically doesn't change with the manager that's in charge.

With Jose the cure is worse than the disease
OK we win something.
Shuts the pundits up for five minutes
until they move the goalposts.
Only the World Cup counts
We all get pissed in celebration
and then we are left
with Jose's usual legacy
after spending money we don't have
Pissed off, disgruntled `players and supporters
a club we don't really like anymore
a sellout an aberation
but we won something.
Not for me.

Well they didnt need slagging off then but its completely different now. When a player disrespects the club and its supporters they need to be slagged off

Yeah why would we want a serial winner? Oh my god! The horror!

If we cant get Allegri, Mourinho has got to be the choice.

I would always personally prefer anything like that was done in private and can't see what good it would do out in public but I understand why some want to hear these things conveyed out in the open.

Just cannot see a big name like Jose or Allegri because they would want assurances re transfer budgets etc. It will be the same old manager who is grateful for the opportunity to take charge at a 'big' club and has very little to lose because we are not serial trophy winners so it is more hope than expectation when a new manager takes charge at Tottenham.

I have not been active in forum for few weeks now...Any ITKs came out said any ITKs on current situation ?

I guess times up for Poch. As I said few weeks back he doesnt look like turning it around. Looks truly lost. I thought new players could help him out. But even if they doing their part, it's his tactics & regulars letting him down. All credit spent & Times up for Poch IMO.

The way I see it is:

If we go down the 'winner' route :

Mourinho
Allegri

If we stay with the 'project'

Nagellsmann
Ten Haag
Marco Rose.

I just think it'd be a sideways step for us, another young manager with a new 'project' - ya know?

It depends though. In a lot of ways the big name managers are not going to be successful unless they're given massive money to spend, which we all know Levy just won't sanction. It's all very well saying Mourinho this and that but if he comes in, the first thing we need to do is replace Eriksen, Toby, etc. etc. and sort out the FB situation. He'll want to go out and spend £500m, which he's not going to get, so instead we'll end up with some "alternatives" that Levy has managed to do a deal for, Mourinho will get into a strop and sulk, and we'll be back in the same kind of situation we're in now. This idea some people seem to have that he's just going to come in and win us the title straight away is just bonkers.

For that reason I think a "project manager"/coach, whether that be someone like Nagelsmann or whoever, just suits where we're at as a club more. The best manager isn't always just the biggest name you can find. If they don't fit in with the strategy of the club then it's a waste of time and money. Personally I'm not writing Mourinho off completely, part of me does have a sort of morbid fascination with seeing what would happen under him, but I can't shake the feeling that more likely than not it would all just end up in a complete shit show after a year or so and we'd be back to square one anyway.
