Appointing Mourinho would be an admission of defeat for Levy. He's spend the better part of his tenure here talking about "doing things differently" and not operating like the other big clubs, well appointing Mourinho would be exactly that. I'm not necessarily opposed to it but can't see it happening.

Surely he'd be looking for a 'new' Pochettino.

He's proven himself as willing to go against his preferred candidate before, when he sees that the team is off balance and need to be steered in another direction. Redknapp was such an appointment. Different than Mourinho yes, but neither Levy's preffered type.

£30mil, Levy. Just take it as another investment for Sissoko (and you know how worthy it quite turns out) and sack the delusional Poch now to appoint Mourinho.

The earlier we do it the more money and points we save.

Add Thomas Tuchel to the list.... not a great chance of getting him but it’s the premier league so maybe.

Mourinho is poison. He might win us a trophy but it will be playing shit football. 1-0 wins and 0-0 draws.

I do like the Ajax manager but I feel we need someone with a bit of stature to take on the squad.

Conte maybe just anyone but Mourinho.. it’ll be selling our soul to the devil for one trophy. He always leaves teams in more of a mess than he goes in. Inter took years to recover and look at united
Shit football?? he fits us perfectly then.
Cause im not sure if it can get any shittier

i love the ‘he might win us a trophy but it’ll be shit foootball’ line. like we’re used to winning trophies. or used to playing beautiful football.

i will take winning actual stuff every day of the week, regardless of the football. we’ve not been blessed with either in recent memory.

people only care about the style of play when you’re not winning anything.

Watching the first half against a struggling Watford made up my mind.... We have to make a change.

1. No trophies in five yrs with the squad at his disposal. If we won a trophy or two then we and most importantly the players would BELIEVE in his management.
2.Our form from December last year to now.
3. He could have integrated an academy player or two to make up for failing to recruit in the previous window.
3. Player recruitment... Walker never properly replaced. A alternative to Eriksen is 2 yrs overdue.
4. This squad has stagnated and needed refreshing the season we brought in no players.
5. Failing to pressure Levy into the necessary changes earlier. I get the impression he was happy to tow the club line and earn his salary.
6. We play such a boring turgid style of football and I don't believe it will change anytime soon.
7. His stance on a D. O. F to help in player recruitment.
8. I've lost any belief that he can win us trophies.

I would go for an interim appointment to the end of season and I would really try get Carlo Ancelotti for next season. No more projects but a proven winner as a manager.

I see a lot saying no to Jose cause the football won’t be great but we’ll win a trophy. Sorry but I’d take the trophy. If he won the pl I pretty sure none of us would care. Btw I’m poch in just making a point.

I've just issued @Shadydan with 2x Winner ratings in a row. If Israel and Palestine can both agree that Poch should get the elbow and Mourinho should be his replacement then surely the rest of the world should take notice?
These are truly extraordinary times we live in!

Liverpool is a free hit, but defeat at Everton seems inevitable and the top 4 could be gone by then if we don't act.

The one thing I would say about Mourinho is the instant respect he'd command.

That in itself could get an extra ten percent from every player.

And I'd be willing to bet uber Kane would be back in a heartbeat. Bullying CBs, running down the channels chasing lost causes.

Alderweireld and Vertonghen commanding at the bank again.

Wouldn't call it a free hit...if the defeat is humiliating then that should be his lot.

Would be happy with Allegri, Benitez, Jose or Ancelotti. That guy who manages Hoffenheim looks interesting and more of a long term prospect.

He doesn’t command respect anymore imho. Miserable dinosaur.

100% agreed. If Mourinho was to come in before January, we’re winning the FA cup.

Brendan Rodgers is a serial killer. You really want a serial killer in charge of our club?
