He's refreshed and motivated I reckon.

The respect he commands amongst players is insane. They'll all feel ten feet taller.

He's tactically very good, exceptionally experienced on the biggest stage/games and above all is a serial winner.

A real chance for us to hit the next level.

Welcome Jose.

Mourinho is not a fit for us. His best days are well behind him, his last two clubs he has upset and unsettled players. He will not get on with Levy and the clubs transfer policy which means he will in a short space of time go into a strop and start blaming everybody else for our bad results if they continue. Sorry he's yesterdays man and will not do this club any good at all. Having said all that he is the only top name available at the moment and Levy would not have fired Poch with out someone lined up so it looks like it's him but he is not the man to turn our season around. The football will be defensive and boring with plenty of 0-0 results.
I'm not looking forward to the rest of the season if Mourinho comes even less than if Poch had stayed.

That’s the spirit. Hope you’re more positive at games and get behind the team.

Buzzing if it happens. Only thing I don’t get is he was Chelsea manager so would he mind being our manager, wouldn’t the Chelsea fans make his life hell or was that too long ago / they don’t like him that much anymore?

but if I’m Jose this is the job I’ve been waiting for, our squad is easily 3rd best in the league and we have the best striker in the league, he’s won champions leagues and titles with far worse squads, fingers crossed it’ll be a fun ride if nothing else and as we don’t seem to win anything these days why not have a bit of fun and actually hire a manager who’s previously won big titles.
The fans will come to terms with it when they realise his football isn’t as turgid as people think and he hopefully gets us over the line in some big games.

Chelsea fans hate him already. Arsenal were desperate to get him. Will be perfect for us in that regard.

Can't help but get excited about the prospect of Mourinho coming in and the more i see of the news filtering through, the more eager i am for us to get him signed. We are in desperate need of a serial winner to manage this club and Jose Mourinho is the best out there currently available. He wins trophies and will take no shit from these group of losers. This club need to get the monkey off our backs and i will take a prick like Mourinho short term any day of the week if it means my club finally win something. Make that big appointment Spurs, bring Mourinho in.
If nothing else it’s great for the amazon documentary

The main thing I would hope for assuming it is indeed Jose is that he has learned from his past few jobs and will be better at dealing with people and players. Maybe he will have learned a lesson.

With an ego as big as his, I dont think he will however, or if he is different here early on, I dont think it will last. I'd be surprised if he is still here after next season concludes.

He’ll of already signed up. No way do we sack Poch without having our ducks in a row. All the news outlets are just jostling in their positions now so they can say they were correct.

More likely (imo) they are being briefed by the club. Not a great look for it to be public knowledge that we agreed a deal with Mou before sacking Poch, even if that is the case.

My take on the timing is that they wanted the influential players back from international duty in order to discuss it with them, before it being announced. Whether that was a final check in respect of the players perspective on the outgoing and potential incoming or whether it was just out of courtesy would be very tellingly. It’s already been alluded to in another thread that Kane may have wanted Poch gone. If that was the case it makes sense to wait until they return from international duty.

I feel that it’s possible the pressure on Emery has maybe slightly forced levy to act now. Possible that Arsenal started to speak to Jose too forcing Levy to move now or wait till the summer for a better manager. Levy however has tried in the past to convince Mourinho, I’m sure he’s the one he wants.

Only way I see him joining is if he’s promised funds, so if he joins it’s a positive.
