I want Mourinho in for the aggro as well. Opposition fans already fucking hate us; Mourinho feeds off that and often puts it to good use. "No one likes us, we don't care!" - I'm totally on board for some of that.

I actually like your reasoning sir.

Jj on twitter says "least we are bringing in someone decent" and then this
"You have to move quickly sometimes and make tough decisions. Also you need to secure the incoming manager first."

Yes it would make no sense sacking the manager this late in the international window if not a new one where already lined up.

Harry Redknapp
"They’ll probably like Brendan Rodgers but I don’t know if they’ll get him; they spoke to Brendan when they sacked me, as well! So that’s a possibility."

Also Harry Redknapp, in the words of Brendan
“When I was at Swansea he wanted me to be joint England manager with him when he was led to believe he was going to get the job.

“We spoke on it – he was inviting me to do it. He was at Tottenham at the time and thought he was going to get the job leading into a European Championship.

Would be interesting to see how the players respond. Eriksen is obviously 100% off regardless but I wonder how the other out-of-contract players would react - I could see Verts and Toby both being Mou-type players and maybe they'd stick around if they think there's a chance of winning something and playing under him. Kane will obviously love him and he's previously spoken of his admiration for Dier. Plenty of players could go either way (Dele, Sanchez, Winks) and there will undoubtedly be a few immediate castoffs (I'm looking at you Aurier).

I’m genuinely excited with the thought of Mourinho coming in. So knowing spurs I’m expecting it not to be him but somebody completely underwhelming.

With Mourinho at least we will get proper insight and analysis post match. Was so sick of Poch waffling and saying nothing at all. Was so uninteresting even during the good times which was fine but his limited English was always a bit annoying.

Don’t know if it’s been posted but gards said on his twitter feed “announcement tomorrow”. I don’t have the knowledge to upload, I’m old and scared.

I think it'll be a marked difference from the established squad members.

I would say if Mourinho comes in then nothing is off the table, including Eriksen doing a 180.
