Let's see the next manager to get 4 top four finishes in a row and get us into champions league final on a next to nothing net so spend.

Let's see everyone's saviour, serial winner Jose do that. Never going happen, it's only downhill from now if we go down the road of getting read of the manager rather than backing him and getting ready of the players who clearly would prefer to be anywhere else than at spurs.

Come on, how can you possibly sit there and say what the next manager will do with us? Clearly you back Poch and that's fair enough. I don't think anyone is suggesting that Poch has done a bad job, quite the opposite. He's been widely praised for the duration of his tenure but that doesn't mean that things can't have come to end as they are clearly doing now.

I think our entire fanbase would rejoice if the team suddenly starts winning again and Poch remains in his job. Hardly anyone just wants Poch out because they don't like him. I adore the man but it is absolutely plain to see that it's not working anymore. Continuing as we are is very dangerous. IMO there would be less chance of Poch turning things around than there would be of a new manager coming in and getting us going.

Yes it will be sad to see Poch go but we can't keep him here based purely on sentiment and for how much we've enjoyed his time in charge. Poch being sacked doesn't take away from what he achieved here. We will always remember his time fondly in the same way that we do when we think of Martin Jol and Harry Redknapp but their times also came to an end.

It's time to move on, both for Poch and for Spurs.

In the event that Poch does leave, my view is that this next appointment needs to be a proven winner, e.g. Ancelotti, Mourinho, Allegri. That appointment may not be long term, certainly in Jose's case, but it would potentially allow us to be good and win whilst also navigating our way out of this stale squad.

In an ideal world my top choice would be Nagelsmann or Rose. A young manager with a clear philosophy that would be here long term. The problem is that both of them are less than 6 months into their current appointments and are highly unlikely to move to us mid-season.

Eddie Howe wouldn't be a bad appointment but would be very risky IMO. We're a bigger, more attractive club than we were when Poch took charge. Poch was a gamble when we took him and Howe would be the same now and we need to have shown that we've moved on from this.

Ancelotti is the man for me. He doesn't bring the circus that Jose does but he's a proven winner. He helps us win now and then in a few years when Nagelsmann or Rose are ready to leave their respective clubs we would be in a better position to try and get one of them. Allegri would arguably be the better option because he's a winner and could also be here long term but he apparently doesn't want to take a job mid-season.

Mind you, if Mourinho does join and signs Pogba, I'm starting an immediate Jose out campaign.

He'll find somebody else who threatens his ego without spending 90m. I can only see Harry Kane in the reserves fitting the bill personally.
* This is meant in a humourous way for the Mourinho flag wavers by the way.

One thing is for sure, whoever gets the job next will tell us everything we need to know about Daniel Dinklage. Mourinho will show some ambition, Howe will show its all about another 'project' and winning things isn't a priority and Hughton as caretaker will show that we haven't got a fucking clue. Anyone but a proven winner and I don't see how anyone defending Levy can, at the same time, complain about not winning things, we just have to accept we're not about that because it'd be obvious the owners aren't either.

Just for a change get someone in with gravitas, someone who's won things and lets see how it pans out.

Enough with the projects. Give the job to Mourinho with a sensible, reasonable amount of backing and give it a go. At least nobody can coat him off for giving it a go. He's failed to do that the last couple of times the opportunity has presented itself, a third would be unforgivable.

No smoke without fire methinks. Unless things take a dramatic turn for the better he will be gone by Christmas in my opinion. No way would I be happy with Eddie Howe by the way, we need a proper experienced manager who has a track record of winning.

All the reports out their seem just to copying the telegraphs. Hopefully it’s just click bait for these websites.
That's the key - i mean fair play if the Telegraph has a decent source for their story but there does seem to be an element of supposition based on what we already know and if the other sources are merely repeating the same story then it's not exactly a momentum towards Poch being removed.

Fuck me something needs to happen and happen fast. I'm not sure how much more of this gargantuan non-understanding of how betting and odds work I can take from some of you jam sandwiches.

The article itself says Spurs "could" be interested in Howe and Southgate. It doesn't claim to have knowledge on the issue. The substance of the article is the players texting each other in expectation of him leaving and Poch holding talks with Levy about an exit plan.

Yeah - I mean it's possible that we might be witnessing the end of Poch's tenure but I wouldn't necessarily be expecting anything imminent.

Another key line is this

“Levy would prefer not to sack him, not only because of the money but also because of what he has achieved at Tottenham. But Pochettino has made it look like that is what he might prefer.”

Replacing Poch with Gareth Southgate would be the biggest slap in the face since we replaced Berbatov with Frazier fucking Campbell. Surely that's just a name picked out of a hat by the papers?

At least with Howe, while I don't want him, you can see why we might take a quick look at him as a long-list candidate. But Southgate shouldn't even be given a moment's consideration.
