I'd suggest you avoid the thread named 'Next Spurs Manager' if you don't want to see people discussing who could possibly be next spurs manager.

I probably should, but it's abit of a **** when you refresh the SC page on a match day, and the next manager thread is constantly on the top....

It's sad state of the modern fan not only here, but unfortunately in the stadium,

I'm only saying what alot are thinking.. But unlike most on here, I couldn't give a toss about neg or positive ratings.
Ffs get a life.

This applies to all and should be remembered at all times: We ALL want what is best for the club, we all love the club and we all would like success. Sometimes, people have different opinions on how best to achieve that and some people crave the success more than the emotional connection stuff. That's just the way it is. Different opinions, different people. No one is necessarily wrong, because ultimately we never find out 'what if' in all scenarios.

This thread is not full of 'toxic modern fans'. It is full of people who are genuinely concerned at the club being 13th, with 12 points from 10 games, 8 points off top 4 and having not won away in the league since January. People just see it differently, right or wrong.

Also, as you keep editing your message: The stadium is dull and boring, but if so many of you hate the atmosphere and couldn't give a toss about others opinions around you, sing up.

I get all that, I'm long in the tooth mate

Everyone is entitled to their opinion ofc, it would be nice though if we could concentrate on the game two hours before KO rather than a replacement for Poch, he has made lots of errors and he may be in trouble, but ffs you have all week to choose a replacement,... He ain't been that bad over the last few years to treat him with so little respect. Imo

After watching some Mourinho's videoes in this thread, and actually getting a bit inside the Portuguese man's head I must say, I don't feel that bad if we were to appoint the guy - like I did when he was first mentioned.

Not entirely sure about that but OK, they are in some other threads.

And seeing it differently isn't entirely the issue is it, people have been seeing things differently since Adam promised not to shoot his apples over eve's boat. There's always been disagreement on SC and rightly so but it's more than that.

It's the way people go about it that makes it unpalatable, that gives rise to remarks like 'toxic', from some there's a certain spite or nastiness attached, not to mention what some perceive as glee that is wholly unnecessary and it's not a very pleasant mix. All in my onions of course :D

Regardless of where you stand on the in/out debate, anyone who takes any pleasure in spurs losing, even if it throws fuel on their out agenda, isnt a proper fan.

Im leaning towards Poch out right now, unless he can turn things around sharpish, but I'd never want to see us lose to hasten his departure. I want him to have the success he deserves, but that doesnt mean I have the confidence it will happen.

Jose would sort this lot out and would actually play anyone he buys in January

Yeah, I've noticed one guy in particular begging the opposition to score more goals against us and giving it the big COYW against Watford.

I think someone is watching him ?

I’ll just get a bread knife and a can of Carling from the fridge and I’m all yours. There isn’t much to cut off so won’t take too long

I'm more concerned about the Carling than the mossie bites, to be honest! I thought you were a man of class and taste and you've left me severely disappointed.

I think we operate very similar to Dortmund in the way that we appoint coaches who are 'up and comers' and can commit to a project. Which is why it'll probably be someone like Howe unless we are in a turmoil situation and relegation becomes a very real possibility.

But Dortmund have proven that the way they operate has its limitations. Since Klopp left, what have they won? Tuchel may have been able to win something if they hadn't fallen out, Favre looks like he's similar to Poch in the way he improves them but not enough to win, whilst the others bombed.

The point I'm making is that if the club decide to take a punt on another 'project' manager, it is likely to end with no glory, just memories. It's why the next appoint has to be Jose, Rafa or Allegri

There is a difference between us in that Dortmund appoint managers like they buy players. They do it based on the philosophy and the way the club (Zorc) has decided to go. I think that makes a lot easier transitions for the players.

I think you're right and we don't operate in exactly the same way but we do both buy younger players that fit our MO and Poch was appointed with a project in mind, so too was AVB. Maybe our players are more disposable from coach to coach than at Dortmund but I never get the feeling that when we appoint a coach it's cause we want to lift trophies. I feel the same about Dortmund.

I feel they scout and buy young players with more purpose than we do. We do it more randomly.

I think Dortmund push as hard as they feel they can, without sacrificing the stability they've built. They really should cement their spot as 2nd best in Germany though.

You say that but he signed 2 CB's at a cost of 100m and didn't play them at United.
