How times have changed that we are getting nervous about losing out on Mourinho or Allegri....its all a bit sad.
I can understand (not agree but understand) why people don't want Jose

But Allegri?

2 CL runner-ups and 2 QFs with Juve, bloody consistent in beating weaker teams, highest win ratio in Juve history

It's one in a decade opportunity

We’re gonna lose Mourinho to woolwich and Allegri to United because Levy’s far too slow to pull the trigger, arent we?
We could get to the point where we have to get Hughton in until the end of the season to keep us up. If this scenario happens and we continue as we are under Poch.

If Levy does want Mourinho, he's got to sack Poch now. Arsenal have some tricky games and the Arsenal board have shown they are prepared to act recently.

Jose Mourinho is keen to return to English football because of a desire to win major trophies with a third Premier League club, Sky Sports News understands.
The 56-year-old, who continues living in his London home, rejected the chance to return to management with a number of clubs abroad, turning down Benfica in January and an £88m contract to manage a club in China this summer.

According to Sky sources, a return to English football would be extremely appealing for Mourinho despite "untrue claims" he is holding out for contact from Real Madrid in case coach Zinedine Zidane is dismissed.

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports News in July, Mourinho said: "I have some time to think, to rethink, to analyse and what I feel is exactly that 'Ze' (Mourinho's nickname as a boy) is full of fire!

"My friends tell me 'enjoy your time, enjoy your July, enjoy your August, enjoy what you never had'. Honestly, I can't enjoy. I am not happy enough to enjoy.
ARTICL"My friends tell me 'enjoy your time, enjoy your July, enjoy your August, enjoy what you never had'. Honestly, I can't enjoy. I am not happy enough to enjoy.

Mourinho waved to Manchester United fans ahead of their 1-1 draw with Liverpool earlier this month, while working as a pundit for Sky Sports
"I miss my football, I have the fire, I have a compromise with myself, with people that love me, with so many fans that I have around the world, so many people that I inspired."
In September, Mourinho told Italian TV show Tiki Taka he would not return to management in Italybecause of his affection with Inter Milan, where he won the treble in 2010.
"I haven't worked for seven, eight months so we'll see what happens," Mourinho said.

"But I don't think I'll come back to work in Italy. It's a sensation, but I don't think my future will be in Italy. Inter is my home and [former Inter owner Massimo] Moratti remains both my president and friend."

He has been out of a job since leaving Manchester United in December 2018, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replacing him initially as caretaker manager before being offered the job full-time.
During his two years at United, Mourinho lifted the Europa League, League Cup and the Community Shield.

Mourinho will never take the spurs job, he’s openly said the next project will need to provide him with the same tools as what pep & Klopp have & their disposal in terms of ambition to win major titles & financial backing, let’s face it that’s never happening under Levy’s watch ........

We have the same tools that Klopp has. The main difference has been they have been better at picking players.

His actual quote was about wanting to go somewhere where he can win, and is expected to win - nothing to do with money, although I remain more optimistic than most about that.

That SkySportsNews article is recycling quotes from July and September, so not sure if they've thrown it out there to just get clicks.

He is the type of winner we are looking for but how would he get on with levy could you imagine the conversation,
Er Mr chairman I need 5/6 top notch player's to challenge for the top four that all good with you.
Er well Jose the way we do it here goes like this bruv if you sell Kane or son we can bring a couple in on the last day if we can get them and we end up with a healthy profit how does that sound.
Door slams
Jose Jose are you still there.....

We all know how this movie ends...
It'll be Eddie Howe or Harry Potter from Brighton.

Interesting that up until now Levy would not be considered trigger shy when it comes to firing managers but Poch will last a lot longer than perhaps he normally would.
Indeed. And other managers were fired after far better results. We now have 23 points over the last 22 premier league rounds put together.

I have said before that ENIC and Mr Levy, in my opinion and rightly or wrongly, wouldn't sack Poch this season but it would be very interesting if our form continued again for a further few matches up until Christmas.

The other question is how much stock the board put in CL football during this "painful rebuild" and if they are accounting for not necessarily having it next year because we will need supreme form consistently to achieve it or teams like Leicester or Chelsea ot have similar form to ours at the moment.

Thing is, they’d almost have to act. If we continue our poor form from 2019 up until Christmas, we’ll be involved in something resembling a relegation battle ( a amuch as that battle can actually be happening that early in the season )

Even at this stage it's hard to see us finishing top four because we don't look capable of putting a run of results together apart from losing that is, we can only imagine that levy and co have resigned themselves to missing out although apart from the financial implications they will not be too concerned.
