I mean, in this case, he is probably correct.

But does he get anything right...ever?
Not sure if the worst part of Jose coming in is will be the way he disrupts the club, upsets youth players, picks fights with anyone and everyone or Duncan Castles.

It's Castles isn't it?

I still never changed my vote and despite being frustrated with him I still am incredibly saddened by this

But this may be the splinter I need to reclassify football in my life. Bring on Mourinho, I’m ready to be a consumer.

He pretty much called it on the 12th Nov re Poch and against JJ's optimistic post on twitter. Gard's gets stuff mate and has done for years. Not always on point, but also ran with the Jose story first.

Edit JJ's post from 12th Nov

That’s pretty interesting. Big win for Gards there. Not such a great look for JJ.

Yeah we tried that under Poch. Worked well................For a while

Poch was never a particularly attacking/tactical coach though in my eyes. What I mean is yes we pushed up, pressed, and enjoyed a lot of the ball and at one point scored a lot of goals, and he obviously wasn't entirely useless at getting something out of our team going forward, but his strengths were on the defensive side of the game - fitness and lots of running, organisation and getting a compact unit for the press. Married to this were his man management skills giving his players confidence/desire and that the front four attacking players were given a lot of freedom to go and express themselves.

But as we've seen now when we've been struggling for form and confidence, there hasn't been a lot in terms of structure and foundation to our play - how to progress the ball up the pitch, which zones we should be attacking, little sub units playing in harmony etc and taking up positions relative to what others are doing. The obvious would be to compare him to Guardiola in that aspect, but if you feel that's unfair then there are several other managers who are way ahead of Poch when it comes to the tactical aspect of the attacking play.

But this is all probably for another time/thread...

We all bring up Mourinho's time at United, But nobody ever mentions he had a higher win % there in 144 games than Poch in all his here. So as bad as that was he still out performed Poch to be fair! Let's get behind him. While thanking Poch for everything he gave us.

Yeah I totally agree mate - was more tongue in cheek really - I have never truly seen Poch as a technical nor tactical manager for the most part.

Can't link JJs tweets but he's saying the replacement was secured before the sacking was announced.

Bad form I've always thought but it appears it sped along quickly.
Didn’t JJ say Poch was going nowhere just a couple of days ago?‍♂️
