Mourinho - I’m sure someone posted on here a month or so ago that JM had found a new enthusiasm for the game, taken his time off to refresh his tactics, approach etc and rebuilt his coaching team. If this is the case and he’s our new manager then 1) we need to back him, and 2) be optimistic about the future based on his new game plan.

Mourinho approached apparently

No doubt.

Levy : “Hey Jose, fancy the job?”
Jose : “Sounds good, but we need 2 fullbacks, a DM, another striker and at least one CB. And none of those bargain basement signings. £200m should do it”..... click.

“Daniel, hello, are you still there?”

Right... so hiring one of the most successful managers in the modern era, a guy who has won more in the last 20 years than our club has since 1882, shows a complete lack of ambition?

Its very tempting to be insulting but I won't, you've probably had a drink...I'll put your post down to that.
Dont hold back mate its just the internet, I saw stiffer competition on the playground.

Mourinho is finished what ever people think we will be getting we wont

We may laugh but we all know there is a realistic chance the conversation could go like that

BBC Sport understands that Jose Mourinho is a strong contender for the Spurs vacancy.

Laughing stock again. Best manager in years, punching above our weight, on an unfair playing field financially, and one bad season, we pull the trigger.
We will not be able to get a better manager with the finances we would give them, so rinse and repeat with the next manager.

Footballs about money now, we will not be champions, winners, unless we splash millions of pounds in transfers, which we will not do under Levy.
We knew the squad needed to be rebuilt, so why not let the manager rebuild.

My heart maybe talking more than my head, but absolutely heartbroken.

Why is Mourinho finished? The 2nd placed finish and a cup double he did at Utd 2.5 years ago looks like a miracle after what has happened there after

he spent plenty at UTD, we wont be spending so what is the point in wasting our time? The man will not walk into this job and say he has a great team.

I have changed my vote and I have indeed given it to Mourinho.

I do this with no great delight. Jose is no doubt one of the greatest managers ever and if we could get Porto or Inter era Mourinho there's no doubt we couldn't possibly do better.

But it's with a heavy heart. One reason I loved the Poch era was we did it without egos without oil slave money - just a young team and manager taking their play and our club to a new level.

So now the deed is done and we have to win trophies - or we've soiled ourselves for nothing.

No chance Mourinho is standing for mediocre/no players in transfer windows, I'm excited.
True. So, if he has agreed to join, I'm sure that he has ensured there are guarantees in his contract that hold the chairman accountable. Otherwise, I agree that he wouldn't join if there was almost no money for new players.
