Now, I have been a fan for well over 10 years, being Norwegian I have only had the privilege of visiting the Lane four times, every time we've lost, I'm like our jinx or something... The one I remember the most is the one where we took the lead twice against Newcastle, Keane and Defoe I think scored, then Nicky Butt scoring in the closing minutes to make it 2-3. Anyway, In the time I've supported Spurs I've seen plenty of ups and downs, disappointments and false dawns, but I've persisted, as we have such a thriving community of mostly intellectual people keeping my interest up, on the forums and even in the pubs here in Norway.

I love this club. That's the reason why I want to share with you my thoughts of this season, now, this being Spurs and all... I'm not going to go down the rabbit hole of making predictions, we have a way of defying logic even when we're supposed to be in form, however there's been a few things I've noticed this summer that makes me more positive than ever.

One of these things is how we seem to have taken a step up in our transfers, the additions we've made have really impressed me, Capoue and Paulinho especially, maybe the only disappointment so far is Chadli, but he's not gotten time to adjust yet, so I'm not counting him out.

I remember a time not long ago when I was doubtful we were going to be able to lure Hugo Lloris to come here, I didn't think we were a club at his level, now he's here and playing for us every week. If you had told me before the transfer window started that we would be able to get Paulinho, Soldado and Lamela I'd probably called you delusional.

Whatever it is, manager, club stature improving, I don't know, but what I do know is that we are now in a reality where £30M transfers and buying top players from top clubs is a reality, we can do this. This turned me from the cynic I used to be in all matters concerning Spurs to being positive.

Another of the reasons why I'm feeling so optimistic is that in AVB we seem to have a coach who knows how to win games, I will admit I'm not the biggest fan of his style (yet) because I think it's missing a bit of that Tottenham flair and unpredictability and I still hold to my opinion that our attacking play under Jol at times is some of the most fluent pretty play I've seen in any of the games I've watched. With AVB however we do not have to worry about the heart attack moments we had almost every game we were in the lead under Jol, we seem to have found a defensive stability and I think we are more solid now than ever.

I'm not going to touch on the Bale and Willian sagas as I think they aren't worth mentioning in this post, I think we'll do fine without either in our squad.

It doesn't matter if I had the balls to make predictions or not (Obviously, I didn't) but 2013 is our year, I can feel it.

COYS.

Apologies if the post seems pointless, or lost it's direction, took forever to write, I just wanted to be positive and get this out there in a time where people seem gloomy because of the Bale saga. Also apologies for my grammar and spelling, it's difficult writing something of this size in a foreign language.

And of course, if anyone wants to join in on the positive vibes, or just offer opinion on what I've said or whatever, that's cool, but I would ask people kindly to leave their Bale whining in the appropriate threads please.

I am so annoyed Bale is going, I mean after everything we have done for him... Really puts a downer on everything.

Just kidding Colston! This could be the team that finally makes Spurs champions. COYS
