Considering we had a good game last week to give us hope and it's Newcastle away, I can see a 5-0 win for Newcastle

Although there are no easy games this is definitely a step up from the last 2. It will be interesting to see Ange's selection. I think we can win this game and go into the NLD with some confidence. COYS.

This is on my birthday. 25 or so years ago on my birthday England smashed their bogey team away 5-1. (y)

Getting this one out the way early makes me happy. Although we have a solid record aside from the last two seasons, I much prefer this one done and dusted now than towards the end of the season.

Agree. Also (famous last words) but I recall many of our wins there have come in the early part of the season (Atouba’s winner, consecutive opening weekends, the win under Nuno).

As of now, and presuming the deadline for registering players for this weekend is midday as per, looks unlikely Newcastle will add a centre back in time for this game.

The pace of their front three terrifies me after seeing a pension age Vardy cut through our high line like a knife through butter. They've got injuries at the back too, but they had half their team out when we went up there last season and we still got slapped 4-0 so I'm taking nothing for granted.

This is where Ange really earns his money. Can we play as attacking a lineup as we did last week against a team who will actually be able to string two passes together? Big question is whether we keep Kulusevski in central midfield or put him in Johnson's place to bring in either Sarr or Bentancur (if fit to start).

I'd take a draw at this point but this one really could go either way.

First big test to see if we've actually sorted out our defending this season. Considering how poor we looked in that aspect against two limited teams that had about 30% possesion, I'm not looking forward to this.

Usually hate the first international break because it kills all momentum and excitement for the start of the season, but it feels like we'll need it so we can hit reset and get the likes of Solanke, Bentancur, Richarlison fit and ready to start again.

So frustrating that it's only the third game of the season and we're essentially down to our third striker option for two of those games.

Richarlison is arguably the most injury prone player we've ever had. Don't think he's been fully fit since he joined the club

There we go! We will suffer badly again on the injury front should it continue as is. Still see our squad needs beefing up!

Deki up front, Son left, Odobert right. Don't see why that won't work. With Madders, Biss and Sarr in the middle and the regular back four.

Son played well up top saturday so assuming newcastle wont be sat in a low block at home against us just stick with what we had last week i'd say.
