Werner shouldn't be nowhere near the field and yet he is completing this awful game. This thinking process I cannot comprehend.
Who is this player who can hold the ball up in the forward line? Oh yeah he's injured. You want Ange to pull him off the physio bench? He can't just pull one out of thin air mate.I think Ange made some tactical errors today - not having a player who can hold the ball up in the forward line for one - but despite the tactics - the players have let us down today with a lack of energy/effort. We've been beat to most 50-50 balls, and knocked off the ball too easily.
I did mention this when we hired Ange that my only concern from watching a lot of his teams play was that in the CL Celtic got pumped a few times with just balls in behind over and over but I thought a lot of that was down to lack of quality of the Celtic players compared to RB Leipzig/Real Madrid etc in terms of not taking chances or not keeping possession or not defending well. It's just so naive tactically from Ange, and if not stubbornness just downright idiotic to not look to rectify things.
Every single game this season we get cut open by a long ball over the top, and yet we never adjust the line, or the way we set up to have more players around defensively.
Then crowding the middle of the pitch against a team playing 5 at the back with inverted full backs when we need to stretch the width.
Probably one of the worst games I've seen from us in a long time. So toothless in attack, and no fight all over the pitch.
Embarrassing.
Can’t help but get the feeling Ange's style of football has been found out, it may work in tin pot leagues but essentially playing basketball is not going to work in the premier league, you need a element of control and not to rely on 1v1s to defend.
Ange out is incredibly knee jerk admittedly but some serious critique of his tactics and personnel is wholly warranted right nowAnd there we have it, the first Ange has to go posts.
god, some of you………![]()
maybe you’ve only starting supporting Spurs since January, then fair enough, otherwise it’s ridiculous to say he doesn’t turn up in big games, he’s done it in plentyhave a word with yourself, hes clearly only playing well when its easy going
We had a striker, he had awful service. Isak looked amazing.... But look at the service he got. There’s been no striker on the pitch for 85 minutes
We can't do this every time we lose a game.
Yes, we need work. Yes, Ange needs to figure out fixes. Yes, new players are needed.
But every loss it seems to be "it's not goign to work, system, tinpot, Celtic, Melbourne' etc –it's just the insecurities from before he joined. Be pissed off, sure, but be patient. A new manager thread will not solve anything.
