I'd do what's best for my staff and business. This isn't it.

You obviously haven't run a business before. It makes perfect sense and would match the professional advice he has been given.

Try putting yourself in his place rather than that of a Spurs fan.

Did you read my post of what happened to the businesses that took Arsenal to the High Court?
They got less money than was originally offered. They then had to also pay court costs.
According to a recent article, the land that Archway have is contaminated and the cost of cleaning this will be taken into account with the CPO. So Archway will by extent be paying for the cost of decontamination as well.

Try reading up on CPO's. The market value of the land is £2m this is what the CPO will pay. We offered more than that and a piece of land to relocate to. After court costs and the cleaning bill are taken out then Archway are going to miss out big time. Unless they win.

What's it contaminated with? Is it an ancient burial ground for West Ham fans?

Archway will not be financially worse off. I am willing to bet whatever amount you wish.

Since you don't want to read up on it.

How much do they have to pay me for my home?
Here’s the problem. Apart from a small grant to fund the move, they are only obliged to pay the market value of the property, based on what it would have cost before the development was proposed. So, if the value of the property has decreased since you bought it, you could lose out massively.

The High Court can only rule on the legality of the CPO not the value.

Also, It has been mentioned, Levy offered to pay for Archway to re-locate to 500 WHL other side of A10. This will also be taken into consideration by the court judges. So i think we will get the verdict, in about 2 or 3 days after the court days, which makes it a working week (5 days) for the Judges and Barristers... nice and tidy for their costs invoices.

You and i would be doing the same thing if we owned his business. The CPO will go through in the end and once this issue is out of the way the building of the new ground (from what i have read) should be able to proceed.

Not sure I'd have taken things anywhere near this far if I knew I couldn't win in the long run. Right now, the way I see it, the bloke who owns Archway Steel is doing this for spite and nothing else. His lawyers must have told him he has no chance of winning a gigantic sum of money way over what was suggested by the CPO, so that's why I am so angry with him.

He can't win mega millions, but he can cause us all sorts of frustration by delaying the building works going ahead in earnest. That makes him an absolute scrote of a man in my eyes.
