New Stadium Ticketing Help for an American

Hi All - I am travelling to London for work and it turns out I'll be there for Liverpool home. I'm on my 10th season as a spurs fan and would love to get to see them live for the first time (U.S. summer tours don't count). I joined One Hotspur on the website but they want me to pay 48 pounds to become a + member to see the ticket exchange. I am willing to pay the fee (plus whatever else the ticket cost) to go to the game, but I don't want it to be a sunk cost if there are no tickets available on the exchange. Will there be tickets available on the exchange that aren't too expensive? Is there something else I should be doing instead? Thanks for any help!

The only way to get tickets is to become a member and wait for the bronze membership on sale date. Beyond that, when the sale window closes, whatever's left goes to general sale... but to my knowledge that hardly ever happens.

It's more than likely that there will be plenty on ticket exchange.

There are no 3rd party re-sellers, so anything you pick up on stub hub or whatever is likely to be fake.

Currently nothing on the exchange for Liverpool and I've been looking for the past month or so.

Same here. Been checking fairly regularly since tickets went on sale and there’s been nothing, I wouldn’t risk it unless you know there are tickets available.

There are Premium options showing available but that will cost you a wedge.

Pay the £48. If you're only after a single ticket, it is quite likely one will come up on the exchange, but check regularly as it is first come first served.

If you fail to get one and you're in town, still worth heading to the ground on match day and going in one of the spurs pubs. You never know, a drunk fan may offer you his ticket

Thanks All - I got one today on the exchange, 3rd row behind the goal. Really excited to go and thanks again for your help and sleuthing. Any pub recos before the game?

Congrats on getting a ticket!

Plenty to choose from depending on what you're looking for.

The Crown and Anchor is my current fav. Cheap and serve beer in glasses. Gets really busy really early though.

Gilpin's Bell has loads of space and is cheap. Service is poor lately.

Coach and Horses also has loads of space and is cheap. Service is much better there.

Redemption Brewing Co near the ground gets great reviews but not been there personally yet.

You're probably best just go in the ground early and drink there savouring the ambience. Do all the tourist selfies (cockerel on the wall, centre spot, etc.) before it gets too busy.
