My only excuse for this is being bored. But I do wonder if we became really successful like I’m talking a dynasty for a decade if we could put another tier in the stadium in say 20 years. You need cross rail 2 to be happening and take it to 75k. You’d have to take roof off but I think you could put in a top tier like the bernabeau on 3 sides. Only fear is it might take away from the south stand. But when you look what they are doing to Bernabeau and nou camp I think it’s feasible. Sorry as said bit bored lol.

Personally I think what's more likely is that football continues to grow as an industry, leading to a situation like we see in NFL where teams might replace a stadium after 20-30 years.

I'm really behind the idea of a safe standing section. It was discussed in another thread but they are putting one into old trafford ready for next year.

If I read it correctly, they're putting in what we already have.

You mean everyone will be able to stand 6 feet away from everyone else? Can't imagine the atmosphere will be very intense...

Depends on when/if the dates are rescheduled. If the gigs are cancelled then yes, If they're rescheduled and you cant make new dates, or are no longer at our stadium, then yes. Till new dates are announced, then no it's a case of wait and see, as with all other postponed events!

Gutted, i am guessing we will be fully refunded

Don't hold your breath!
I've asked Ticketmaster for a full refund, but they're refusing to refund until new dates are announced.
Going to be a long drawn out process to get the cash back from them.

The Woolrich owner’s stadium progress in LA not going well. He’s reportedly asking for another 1/2 billion dollars from NFL. So far the project is about 3 or 4 billion overrun.

Looks like Bernabeau upgrade might have retractable pitch.

It makes a lot of sense tbh as it will have a roof. They could stage events throughout the year.

By the way, since I don’t think this has been posted yet, LG did a feature on the work they did in the stadium [here]. Apparently, this is the largest installs of LG screens in the world and the first installation of a curved OLED wraparound in the UK.

Also, the club posted a vid of Mourinho touring David Beckham around the stadium [here]. Nothing too new, but Mou discusses how the stats screens in the home locker room work. Apparently, it’s not just the main whiteboard screen but also the side screens used to display player stats are also touchscreens too.

There’s also this article I found a while back, but I don’t think it’s been posted. It’s about the Daktronics LED screens in the stadium, along with a bunch of other systems that control both the LG and Daktronics displays. The article is [here].

Hope this helps you guys stay sane while football’s not on.
