I understand that the coaches park there, but I would think that a private entrance from that locality would have been factored in the design of the stadium. Just seems a bit naff somehow, considering the old stadium was not like that.

with the old stadium it had a car park by the main doors. the only way they could have made the entrance at the front, would have been purchasing a lot more houses, and knocking the school down. The time they usually get there means very few fans are in the stadium
are usually cueing for beer

Flew over to attend today’s game. Love the place. Very nice. Me and my mates are happy to see all the wonderful goals and play.
Nice one, we seem to be getting more supporters coming over from the States these days I guess the extra capacity makes it viable but hopefully it also means we are rising across America.
And boy did you pick the right day. :)

Maybe it’s just a psychological thing. Make the opposition walk past our home crowd. Just need them to get really vocal and intimidating. Make them uncomfortable to be here. That’s what the eleventh man is supposed to do.

Doesn't he play on the wing?

Is that playing pool to see who buys the round?

Isn’t it because not every seat can be filled in a game eg to separate fans.

So number of seats does not equal max capacity. For football events anyway.

Also people (especially corporate) may have a ticket but not go.

I don't understand what question you are asking. Why don't more people come? Why invest in more seats?

The answer to the latter is because it costs next-to-fuck-all and will make its money back in no time, then continue to add to the profitability of the stadium forever.

We don’t get 58400 that’s probably the lowest. Villa was 60400 average is about 59500 Obviously for whatever reasons that is currently about the limit. Just means real limit will now be about 60700.

I saw GnR at the West Ham stadium. The view from sides was horrendous due to the distance from the stage.

This will be a much better experience.

Even though the capacity is 62303 this includes all seats in the stadium some of which are not counted towards the attendance, there are approx. 455 seats that include media, directors box and dug out seats these will never be in the attendance figure so available seats to purchase is below 62000. Then there are approx. 250 wheelchair spaces with carer seats so have they ever been full to capacity ? You also have executive box/loge seats which although the boxes are taken and occupied , they are not always filled to their full capacity but club has sold these boxes so if the owner only chooses to have say 10 people in a 20 seater box then that is shown in the attendance figure as Spurs count clicks through the turnstiles not tickets sold . I think every game so far has gone to ticket exchange so the club have the season ticket holders money but when on TE they don't always sell especially for the so called smaller profile matches. For instance there are plenty of seats available for the Brighton game on TE but £64.50 for North upper directly behind the goal is not cheap.

clearly realised that the Olympic Stadium was a shithole

Completely convinced a combination of our stadium and relegation will bankrupt the London stadium. We’ve already taken the rugby and now guns and roses gig. They only currently have 3 events lined up for whole of 2020. We already have 7 and haven’t even got going yet.

Another concert announcement imminent as well apparently.

When I was at the game, I was amazed at all the food and drinks being sold. Very impressive. Reminds me of Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis Indiana stadium) that also has that end goal bar with food/drinks. It's always packed.

No doubt the accountants are going to be very busy counting the money.
