Is it possible to meet away fans you know out of interest by walking round the stadium?

My old Greek flatmate will be in the away section so would be good to meet him before. If not in the stadium, which pub is best?

The away section is all sectioned of so no way through and most local pubs are home fans only.

From my vague memory you have to show a ticket on arrival to most pubs nearby, might actually suggest meeting him in central London, probably the best way

Surely there's pubs near seven sisters though we could get into ?

I doubt you'll have much of a problem if you just show your ticket, if your friend is Greek he's not going to look out of place in Tottenham. :)

Can't vouch for the info but this website might help you

I hope the empty seats tonight make the club realize they should have offered another CL ticket package for the group games, little interest even at Cat C. Yet they still reel off the size of our "waiting list" for a ST every season.

one excuse is that it's not gone to general sale because they don't want red star fans buying tickets, but I can't see it being much better for Olympiacos, the prices are ridiculous

But but we have over 100,000 members waiting for season tickets, surely they're desperate to come and see the new stadium at any cost

I can assure you they care very little about this. NFL games going well is all D&D are concerned with.

yeah I can’t go tonight anyway and I’ve decided to swerve Olympiacos. Just don’t fancy paying £58 for what could conceivably be a dead rubber if we don’t get a result tonight and lose in Belgrade.

No point rushing anyway, the way demand is you can always just buy them closer to the time if we actually string a couple of wins together.

SMS Message: Tottenham has a blanket ban on bags bigger than A4. I queued for an hour and missed the first 20 minutes of the match and paid £10 to hand in my bag. Then left after 75 minutes to retrieve it because of the potential queue. Do Tottenham want fans....?

As far as I can see there is no actual ban , perhaps they mean that they are going allow safe standing areas as future proofed by Spurs.

  • Ever since the introduction of all-seater stadia, many supporters have continued to stand in front of their seats, often for the duration of the game.
  • It is widely believed that this practice is illegal. This is not the case, even within Premier League and Championship grounds. The law only provides that these clubs should provide seats for all supporters, not that supporters must sit on them.
  • The point is confirmed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport: ‘At no point has it been argued that the individual spectator commits a criminal offence by standing in a seated area’ (Source: Letter to Football Supporters’ Federation, 2008)
  • Standing in seated areas, is, however, contrary to ground regulations. For example, the Football League’s model set of ground regulations states: ‘Nobody may stand in any seating area whilst play is in progress. Persistent standing in seated areas whilst play is in progress is strictly forbidden and may result in ejection from the ground’.
There may have been some legal addition since 2008 but can't find anything.

It doesn't have to be illegal to be a ban.

The irish centre should be ok. Can't remember ever being asked for a ticket.

You say that, but how many fans that bought the package would have skipped last night because of recent results? The packages whilst a good offer to fans, does not always guarantee bums on seats.

Personally I feel we need even more categories, as Red Star are not even Cat C worthy. But we know that will never happen. It should have been a game to get kids in for a fiver, get the new fans in and enjoy it more than the weathered season ticket holders.

In the end a very decent attendance of 51,743 which in the view of recent performances has to be regarded as very good. Persuaded me to now buy my Olympiacos ticket how many more will change their minds.
