Agreed. Flags too. Think I was the only one with one at City in the south. Nice to see some appearing hung up on railings etc when sat in the north v Huddersfield but would be great to have more, similar to Dortmund Liverpool etc.

Was in North v Huddersfield and atmosphere wasn't great as most sat and quite a few there for a "day out" let alone owning a scarf to wave around which I think is part of the problem

For the Brighton game i'll be taking my Scarfs etc!

From my experience in South Upper, although I didn't go to the Huddersfield game so they may have been more strict, the closer you are to the steps and therefore the stewards, the more likely you are to be sitting, because it is easier for them to communicate with you and threaten you etc. The people towards the middle and end of the row seemed to be standing as the stewards couldn't get their message across that far.

I went to the Huddersfield game, I was standing the whole game in the South Lower part of the stand. Stewards pretend to the motion of sitting down waving their arms about whilst laughing. The seats at the bottom have the extra barriers on the seat, so standing ain't really a problem.

I found that alot of fans from the South Upper section kept coming down to stand around. Stewards having seen this did nothing. Was really quite odd.

Oi! There's a few of us in West Block 101 making some noise (presumably we're all exiles from elsewhere as a result of the phasing process).
Apologies Richie - perhaps there is the odd one or two in the west but i still wont be relying up on you all to be lead vocals - backups always welcome though.?

if the seats behind where previously occupied by deaf people then those seats will not ever go on sale to any members unless they are disabled. a very good chance they where sold the previous 2 matches as they very special moments.

corporate I would kind of understand being under used on an early KO on a Saturday. most corporate are expected to be parked up 2 hours before KO, latest 1 hour before but with road closures they are expected 2 before. most corporate are a 9-5 workers so with travelling, picking up staff/clients I'd expect many would prefer a lye in or family time, especially if they have been out the night before

Was it @TottenhamMattSpur that was going to do comprehensive food reviews? Edit: Or maybe it was @THFCSPURS19?

My own experiences the 4 times I've been are as follows:

Veggie Rendang from Naan & Noodle - I was very impressed by the quality of the food I was given. Really tasty curry (fragrant and spicy), well cooked rice noodles and the sides (mini poppadoms and "Asian" salad) really added to the overall dish. Cannot be faulted for the money.

Margherita Pizza from Smashed Olive - I was slightly taken aback when I saw the price of this in relation to the Lamb Harissa one (I think they were both priced at £8.95), but concerns about value for money were unfounded. This was much closer to "proper" pizza than I expected to get in such an environment and went down very nicely indeed. Lots of tasty mozzarella, massive slices of tomato and actual herbs sprinkled across the top. The base was just the right (thin) side of thick for me as well. My only tiny gripe is that the slices weren't very even in size at all and had I not been able to find a seat might have struggled to balance my pint and food as I wrestled with the larger ones.

Bean & Beetroot Burger from Touchline Grill (West Level 5 near The Dispensary) - This purchase was mostly motivated by the need for something stodgy to be in place to soak up the booze I was about to consume. It certainly ticked that box and also provided a Samuel L Jackson, Pulp Fiction moment for me. Only downside was the relish which was perfectly acceptable but a bit on the sweet side for me.

Fish & Chips from The Linesman - Probably my least favourite of the four dishes I've tried. The chips weren't of the same standard I could have got from the chippy by Northumberland Park and, while the fish was tasty, the batter was gooey. There was also no way I was going to pay a pound for a pickled onion! I never had the legendarily expensive Wembley fish and chips but, from the comments I've seen and heard about that, I reckon this was at least as good and a fiver cheaper to boot. I'll probably give it another go at some point as I may have just been unlucky to get "passable" as opposed the bit better that all the other places have provided.

Not me, although I was salivating at the idea of a breakfast pizza (with no intention of eating pizza for breakfast)

To add to yours:

Hotdog - real meat. Tastes nice and hits the spot. Very seasoned. I could taste it for hours, as could any one in my vicinity.

N17 burger with brisket. Tastes nice, doesn't look like the picture at all. Little hard to eat as its ridiculously thick. Personally, although the bun looks and tastes nice, something lighter, like a brioche would make life a lot easier. Worth noting the wait at the touchline grill east upper for this burger was unacceptably long, around 45 minutes. They seem to make them 3-5 at a time even though there's hundreds of people queuing for them.

Lamb Pizza - I nearly cried it was so nice. I know Italians only put a little bit of cheese on pizza and Italy invented the pizza but this is how I like pizza. Thin, but not too thin base, a shit ton of cheese, a little bit of lamb and probably not enough harissa. But I can live with the latter.
I found a ledge and put my pizza and my pint down whilst I ate.

The Pizzas do look good, it's just a shame it's only available in the marketplace. Pies and the sausage rolls are of a very decent quality.
The queues for food in the East Upper are farcical but thankfully it's easy to jib into the 1882 bar and get a few bites and a bottle.

Yeah it was me. I consider this to be a full on coup tbh. I agree that the Fish and Chips wasn't great, especially at the price.

Good point - I had a sausage roll on Saturday and it was above expectations at a footy ground. The sausage was tasty and, as my mrs never says to me, girthy. It was hot to the last bite and the pastry was flaky and dry, not soggy.
I was served by a lady who looked off her tits on meth though. Seemed genuinely surprised to see anyone, shocked they asked for anything and had little idea what to do.
Then again, I did get my food and drink, so can't complain.

That's not right. It was invented in Naples
That's what I was always told when I was a boy - in New York State. Then apparently it turned out that it was brought back there by returning emigrants. History gets rewritten.

I wasn't there. I only report what I read. ;)

Yeah. I think that it a bit of a misunderstanding/myth that comes from the idea that Domino’s style, giant, cheesy, pepperoni laden, takeout pizzas originated in New York. People read that an interpret it as pizzas in general being invented in by Italians in New York.

I'm in block 530, I can't remember if it was that Tap Inn though or one further in.
She was a white girl, looked mid 30's, blondy brown hair. Just had a totally confused look on her face.
I asked for a coffee and a sausage roll, she looked confused, double checked, then took my payment before telling me they'd run out of coffee.
She did get it, so it's not like her service was particularly bad. She just seemed shocked and surprised by everything.

No, absolutely nothing to do with Domino. I'm talking about the late 19c and the early 20c. This was a reasonably well-evidenced theory that I read about a matter of decades ago - before anything like bloody Domino! Before take-away!

But it may have been re-superseded, if you know what I mean. I'll do some checking...

EDIT: the world seems to have abandoned my favourite eccentric theory and reverted to the Napoli history. So ignore. Napoli it
is.

Domino's is perhaps the wrong example. I mean, giant, super cheesy, by-the-slice pizzas.
