I know where I’m going the next time my ‘what the font’ app draws a blank.

I've authored several, and work as a developer so it's something I just have an area of knowledge/interest in.

No different than discussions over what mix of concrete and grade of carbon steel is used in the 'pilings', except I thought it would have stood out a bit more that we appear to have completely dropped the branding we've been using for 15 years or so.

Getting the right font is important. West Ham went for one called José at their new stadium and look how it turned out for them.

Almost feel a little bit sad that I’ve seen every possible picture angle video inside the bowl now. Really just the seats totally in and uncovered and the turf and the bowl is done. Will really miss the build but can’t wait to actually get inside gonna be like a kid at Xmas.

What branding have you actually seen without it? Directions to the toilets or your seat are not branding

There was just an advert on SSN about our new stadium & Hewlett Packard, how long has that been running? Pretty cool seeing it advertised on TV even though it was probably more of an HP advert.

EDIT: Just saw someone posted the advert on the previous page, guess it's been running for a while.

Not seen Mr AV this week I wonder if the overhead views are a bit precious at the moment.

No Idea if this guy is a wum or not - I'll let you know what they think of it over there - but over on SSC someone called GingerJohn22 posted the following...
The first test event will be delayed, the two stations are likely to be under construction for upto another year and the nfl are going into battle with the mayor over a lack of help with the situation.

You heard it here first...

Don't shoot the messenger.

The entire website and every bit of writing inside the stadium so far
The content on the website isn't branding and we didn't use the font on the old one. Also, anything associated with Spurs such as the motto are part of the brand and uses the font, signs for the gents do not.

I have to say, this site is really weird for people who persist with weak arguments that have no factual basis... I don't know why it's hard to say "That's strange, maybe there's something into that" instead of "I'll argue against this one for no observational or factualy supported reason at all..."

The content on the website isn't branding

It absolutely is. I have no idea what you do for work, but I can only guess and hope it has nothing to do with branding.

'Branding' covers pretty much every visual aspect of information or products associated with a brand or company. This even extends to templates for PowerPoint slides. Pretty much every respectable company will have a document outlining the 'brand', which will include what colours can and can't be used, the presentation of headings and text on print and screen materials and, more importantly here, the typefaces that can be used (in conjunction with how they are to be used).

'Branding' absolutely and unequivocally covers every visual aspect of a website.

and we didn't use the font on the old one.

The 'Spurs' font appears to be completely missing from every aspect of the site now, where previously it was on every page as part of headings, news items and so on. There's a noticeable difference between the main site, and the shop (which hasn't yet been "revamped").

Also, anything associated with Spurs such as the motto are part of the
brand and uses the font, signs for the gents do not.

I don't know why you keep banging on about "signs for the gents", which have been in no photos or mentioned by anyone except you.
Pretty much all the signage around WHL (exceptions being the older and larger signage that existed pre-ENIC) had the Spurs font, e.g.

images

(ignore the chav in the photo, it's from google)

None of the photos so far have this, it's a different typeface. It might change, but so far I've not seen the current "branding" inside the stadium, only on the "To dare is to do" outside bits.

I mean, I thought this was interesting as it suggests that quite a big part of the club's visual identity might be being phased out and potentially changing.
