Lol bless him, he’s a dying breed for sure. That video has made me like him a little bit more and I don’t know why. Probably the child like pettiness, he is so emotional and wrapped up in the game a bit like a fan would be. Clearly loves the game, and passionate about every single kick of the ball.

He’s a dinosaur, for sure but you can see this isn’t just a job to him is it.

I've got loads of Sheff Wednesday mates around South Yorkshire, amongst whom he is absolutely despised. But every once in a while, when there are no other owls around, I've heard vaguely similar sentiments from one or two of those who supposedly despise him most.

Can't seem to find anything about it anywhere else. Somebody heard about it or should we assume that it's a hoax given that no test events have been held yet?

Just saw that as well. Surely that would mean playing well before everything is ready on the outside (and possible on the inside)?

Is this based off of that bogus Daily Mirror piece that came out a few days ago? They saw that the fixture on the website was listed as being played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, didn't realise that that's been standard practice for every game that hasn't been confirmed to be at Wembley since September, and then ran a story about a 'leak' on from our website.

Isn't this a (relatively) old rumour? I thought this was floated a few days ago.

I'm sure someone would have a screenshot if we put anything up.

I'm sure it's just the reports from last week about the Watford game, that were taken down.

I love the idea of little Daniel walking around in his little steel toe cap boots and Hi Vis shaking railings and kicking walls to "test them" as he walks past.

Whilst pushing his wheelbarrow.

I'd not be able to stop myself giving a quick blast of...Oi, shorty. We signing anyone this window.

Maybe now that nothing much changes at the stadium from one week to the next Chris isn't getting the viewing levels he used to and so is going for clicks!:)

I think that playing whilst the overall project was still under construction must have always been the plan. We would have needed temporary flooring outside, a temporary ticket office and possibly areas inside the stadium cordoned off if the original September dates were achievable. That's just a guess based on the level of progress made in the last few months.

This is the silver lining of the delay though I reckon. When we do open there will be so much more that is finished which will hopefully give the fans even more to be happy about and the media won't have more reasons to poke fun at the stadium itself.

Fed up with all these guesses about what the date of first match is going to be , why not just wait for an Official Announcement (and hope that it's correct this time).

If you follow me you'll find that up to now I've been 100% correct

As I said last year my prediction is that we will play our 1st game at the new stadium this year

I like guesses, as long as they can be backed up by something.
**Apart from that stacs twitter guy - he's had his 3 guesses.

If it does turn out to be V Watford as the opening game, the guy that pulled the bird who worked for enic or Lewis that had been given tickets for Watford deserves some serious kudos. That was months back in this thread.

If the first of 2 test events is on 18th Jan I highly doubt the first game will be on the 30th Jan. Id have thought Leicester or Dortmund. That would be an cracking game to open with. Imagine the noise and the world watching.
Getting excited. Not long now folks ?

I still maintain that the 1st game should not a be a high profile one for obvious reasons. Heart says yes, head says no
