It’s only going to be as good as we (the fans) make it. It’s up to us to make sure it’s not another Emirates. Fortunately we are a completely different fan base to them and the number of season ticket holders should mean there’s not as many tourists.
Can’t take being a season ticket holder for granted either, like having the ability to create an atmosphere comes inbuilt with the pin badge given away in the membership pack. We have 16,000 new season ticket holders who are still finding their feet and 24,000 season ticket holders, many of whom weren’t creating an atmosphere at the Lane apart from special occasions. It’s down to the individual at the end of the day, whether they’ve been going for decades or it’s their big day out.

100% correct that WE make the atmosphere, and it shouldn't depend on success either. Watch some YouTube clips on German football, say Eintracht Frankfurt, Kaiserslautern, St Pauli and in particular Hansa Rostock "ultras", only EF have won anything in last decade, and the last 3 clubs aren't even in the Bundesliga, yet the atmosphere created by their fans is sensational. When Eintracht all sing and bounce the concrete stand stand shakes!

I believe the more noise we make, the more intimidating the atmosphere is, the better the team play and the more noise we make! A virtuous circle indeed!

Let's make it the loudest and most intimidating ground in the country!

Update from Stacey, doesn't sound great but perhaps the club have come up with a contingency plan which would allow us to move ahead with hosting matches at the stadium even if we continue to have issues with the fire alarm.

"Right you lovely people, let's try and cheer you up at little. The clubs focus is 100% on getting the public communal areas & boxes completed. Tyco now have their hands on the inspection report & they have got their hands full getting the non-compliances corrected.

Fire marshals will be used for the test games which will be announced soon. The panel still has problems and the report is not great, will explain why later.

6/9 months still to fully complete the stadium with all the snagging. PAVA system needs to be signed off

In the completed areas which is close and once that is done the club is pushing to host league games with fire marshal's.

Just had an interesting conversation for 45 mins.

Who is stacey?
Random guy on Twitter who if I'm not mistaken was the first to correctly predict the imminent announcement of the small event on the 16th. Claims to be in contact with a friend who is ITK on the stadium.

No idea whether he's actually credible but his recent info has been posted in this thread and has proven to be true.

If you ever happen to find yourself in a position of being an ITK this is the line that nobody gives a flying fuck about.
Makes sense within the context that he'll immediately get tweeted at to expound upon what he's referencing but doesn't have time to answer those questions. Less pertinent for message board posters who are reading the info that gets copied over. I just copied and pasted his three tweets and didn't do any editing.

I’ve had beer and a north london derby defeat. Very much speaking in the moment.

He worked at the stadium for a period of time in his role as some kind of safety inspector and backed that up with photos. He's now moved on to the Whitechapel station build. All the NWHL he used to share was first hand, but now he has left, he's getting it from colleagues still working there and still very accurate.

He was also the first to post (with pics) about the issues with the fire alarms and PAVA long before the papers published them.

I just don’t see why a WUM would go to the trouble of writing a kind of detailed post. Ce le vie I guess.

Edit - so I kind of believe it and won’t destroy it. No point in either. :(

Well it doesn’t seem very likely we’ll make MU, if the test event is 30 December.
It depends what test event it is. The original 2nd test event was scheduled for 2 weeks before the Liverpool game. Although I fancy it will be the Newcastle game on 2nd Feb.

Agree - and you can bet there are serious legal discussions going on behind the scenes to do with this IF true - to get this SO wrong (I’ve heard the wrong wiring ?) is gross incompetence that has had an economic effect on Spurs.

A post from an Ar**nal fan regarding our stadium ?

“The whole stadium is a joke. I don’t think they can play there this season as the Fa won’t let them now. They had to get in different contractors as they done everything on the cheap. They can’t finish the retail section as they don’t have enough cash which will or curse affect the revenue they bring. It’s only going to get worse for them. If there was ever a club that needs a trophy it’s them. Just not sure they are mentally strong enough”

Fuck me I hate them.
