You guys are hysterical. Pretty sure you lumped stacey1882 in with Kramer when he had bad news. Now he has some good news he’s totally legit. Anyways we all want the same thing at the end of the day so hopefully he’s right on this date. If he is, still hard to see how they’d squeeze the 2nd in before man United. So I’d presume we are looking at the block of 3 home games.

Probably because Stacey gave an in depth breakdown of the safety and systems analysis testing that needed to be undertaken in order to attain the safety certificate. So people know he's an expert in the specific field that's holding up the stadium.

I would have thought to host the first test event we'd only need the safety certificates and the West stand (as it has all the major facilities) finished.
The original plan was full opening around a month after the first test event.
Trouble is that was based on a Summer month rather than a Winters month with Christmas.
So, a mid-December test event would tie in with a 'best case' opening in mid-January but with the potential to lose a week or two for weather/holidays and ending up in February.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Me too. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Still, Stadium is looking good tho.

Yep. I thought of changing it to 'off the shoulder of Inter', stadium beams glitter in the dark near the West Stand etc.

All I know is that a contact of mine was involved in a stadium build stateside as an architect (with Populous no less). Much smaller venue, 20k, but they opened that thing with 2 of the 4 entrances closed and an entirely unfinished second tier. It was always planned for in the phasing of construction and they knew exactly what had to be done to have events.

Exterior work is no impediment to opening.

Yep. "Or attackers on fire off the shoulder of the last defender. I watched c-bombs litter the dark near the bill nick gates. All those moments will be lost in time, like the hairs on that mofo Levy's head."

Providing the first test event goes well, is there a legal minimum amount of time needed between test events?

Received my membership package today - is that a sign we’re getting close 5o moving back to the new stadium?

I'm only passing this on for what it's worth. No ITK claim!

The missus and I were in the Bobby Moore Room for the game last night. She's a chatter (I was quietly reading my program). Anyway, she got talking to our nice waiter who has worked in sports catering / hospitality for 20+ years at mainly Wembley, Emirates, WHL and London Stadium. He receives work rotas from all grounds / clubs and has to confirm which dates he can, and can't do (I presume via an agency but he didn't say).

Anyway, I pricked my ears up at this point. He said he's had very little info from Spurs until a few days ago. He has nothing firm now. But he's been told to plan for Newcastle (02 Feb) as the most likely date. However, Man Utd (13 Jan) is still possible so to remain 'on standby' if he can. Watford (30 Jan) is less likely for the usual reason about not starting with a night game (transport concerns) but is also possible. In sum, the unofficial view from the bar staff is probably early Feb.

thanks mate. I'd have loved to ask him whether he received any approach from the Club before the Liverpool game- just out of curiosity...
