That's what I meant about Levy putting in a good deal for us as you're right, in six plus years it could look like a low amount, but I trust el baldo to have done a good deal.
We will see. The low ballers from Oregon have a history i cannot stand.

A kit deal of £30 million per year - running until at least 2033 - was a great bit if business when we were looking to secure long term loan restructuring for the stadium debt. However, with Man U having a 10 year deal worth £75M, and Man City and Arsenal subsequently signing deals for £65M per year for 10 years and 5 years respectively, it makes our own deal look bad business. However, unless someone knows how our deal is structured, what the merchandising rights generate income wise, or how the longevity of our deal helped secure lower loan interest, the overall value cannot be easily judged.

FYI, the THST minutes from a discussion about this last year read:

  • DL [Daniel Levy] explained how other Clubs sold their merchandise rights (store and licensing) too, but that we preferred to control that ourselves so comparing those deals was not comparing like for like.
  • Realism was also needed that other clubs sell more shirts than THFC, which has an impact on the fee.
  • SB [Simon Bamber – club director] explained that the numbers reported in the press were usually inaccurate with some clubs including potential bonus amounts

The Nike deal is a good one and were one of their Elite clubs, when you win big trophies you can renegotiate.

I always liked the under armour kit with the HP sponsor, though that was a nice fairly under rated kit.

I actually like the new training stuff out today, but at those prices I’ll never be buying any of it. Plain training tips cost nearly the same as a kit these days ?

You can get 30% off the new training stuff on the Nike website (code NIKE30), but that offer expires at midnight.

Still expensive though!

Really like the warm up shirt. Doubt you'll get it for cheaper than £34.96 before next season's range is released.

£50 for a warm up t-shirt fucking hell. I thought they were meant to be the ones you could get because you didn't want to pay so much for the playing shirts!

iirc the kits made by UA were around £50 each and the training tops were around £25-30, the prices escalated so quickly

Their training stuff was fantastic too, my favourite to be honest and great quality. At least the ones that I have anyway.

The last two Puma shirts with the Investec sponsor were perfect.

Yep, while I don't love Puma, this was my favourite shirt in years. Simple with a white collar and a long-sleeved option.
