I couldn't hand on heart vote on this because I honestly don't know how I'd feel if the sh*t hit the fan.

As long as levels of absolute ridiculousness aren't reached I completely agree. Thought the same about AVB too. We need to build something, as that is the size of Club we are. We have to be slightly organic, we have the roots and need to be allowed to blossom. We can't go and spunk money on immediate success unless we sell our better players. Poch must be allowed to instil his philosophy throughout the club-it takes time.

So yes, we must give the chap time.

Over to you Mr Levy.

I agree. But it's not just over to Levy and how this poll materialises will be evidence of that. Levy is just one small problem in this sense, we have a few thousand others.

If he wears a Gilet I maintain the right to take this support all back. Unless its an ironic use of a piece of outerwear, in which case carry on as usual and Kudos for the sense of humour.

No. Don't think I could agree to that.

If I see fit to criticise the manager for what I deem to be poor decisions then I will. I shall not boo him at games or put up burning effigies.

I may voice my opinion on a forum though.

Barring any major douchbag decisions like playing Siggi in a midfield two away against Man City then he has 2-3 seasons to get this club going.

Even if there is a 6th place finish next season.

But that's the point. Nail your colours to the mast, because what you define as hitting the fan is subjective, hence why I quantified this as "baring a relegation fight".

Go on make a choice...I'll only make a list of who voted for what and revisit at a later date, what's the worst that could happen?

No. A manager does not get time just by virtue of being our manager, he gets time due to showing he deserves it.

I don't think the question is about whether we can't criticise him in the first 3 years, especially on an internet forum. More along the lines of not demanding his sacking if we lose a game heavily or don't finish in the top 5 next year. That's more how I interpreted it anyway.

Interesting. What are your markers for showing that he deserves it?

  • Clear signs of progress, be it position wise of playstyle wise
  • Not getting into fights with the entire side
  • Not falling apart at the first sign of trouble
  • Not being a soundbite spoute
Essentially just showing that he's got a plan rather than hoping things stick.

I think it's relatively simple. People just want to feel like the club is on an upward trajectory. League positions roughly translate too wage bill (I think we are 5/6th).

The main reason people hated last season wasn't just the hammerings but that weird feeling that
"some thing wasn't right" which I think was picked up off the players.

If poch can get the players enjoying and believing in his training/tactics etc then this will really lift the whole atmosphere.
