New deal for Spence

We are delighted to announce that Djed Spence has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2028.

Having joined the Club in July, 2022, from Middlesbrough, Djed has made 10 appearances in our colours to date and registered his first competitive goal for us last month in our victory against Coventry City in the Carabao Cup.

Conte put the boys career back a couple of years by being so childish in not playing him because it wasn't his buy. Everybody else could see there was a player there. I'm pleased for him and hope he goes on to great things for us.

Welcome news! I wouldn't pick him ahead of Porro for key games on current form, but he's an excellent backup and rotation option who can only get even better.
