Shout out to Gateshead. Low budget, not a massive fan base, right next to one of the most 'one club' cities that you could imagine:
Good luck little (or not so little) Shanks. Lovely little town Marlow. We played them in the FA Cup back in 93. 5-1 Samways & Barmby with a brace each and a Teddy tap in. Could do with them fellas at the moment.Little bump, as son is currently on loan at Marlow FC (step 3), so now it seems I'm following the club!
He joined as emergency keeper loan for a month, they had let in 70 goals and sat rock bottom, first game he lost 2-0 but kept that score low qoth a good 16 plus saves, second game away to Chertsey and they won 5-2, another solid display, their biggest win of the season, today is a whole other matter, playing Merthyr Town, who sit sop of the league, next week away to Totton who are second, some seriously tough games and he is under constant pressure!
Tough for the club getting promot3d last year but also losing a handful of their best players too.
Good little introduction into mens football for an 18 year old keeper though and more than holding his own.
On my way now, to watxh him get absolutely peppered!
Just 1-0 to Merthyr? You must be chuffed.Little bump, as son is currently on loan at Marlow FC (step 3), so now it seems I'm following the club!

He did well, it's his third game and has been pretty decent.Just 1-0 to Merthyr? You must be chuffed.
Good trick to wear a 'grass green' outfit, so that the opposition don't know where you are positioned! He did well, it's his third game and has been pretty decent.
Unlucky today, but they did post this!

It was at home, so instead rhe lovely little town of Marlow instead!Hope you enjoyed the fine town of Merthyr @Shanks
Just further proof that we shouldn't be down there. 6 games left and 4 points clear. We'd better get up this year.Very nice.
Pretty crazy really. It's only a couple of thousand off Bournemouth's attendance. Up at Gateshead, we're lucky to get 1500.Just further proof that we shouldn't be down there. 6 games left and 4 points clear. We'd better get up this year.
I've been to that stadium a couple of times, but for the athletics.Pretty crazy really. It's only a couple of thousand off Bournemouth's attendance. Up at Gateshead, we're lucky to get 1500.
Oh wow, yeah it's a decent size but it definitely needs an upgrade.I've been to that stadium a couple of times, but for the athletics.
S****horpe as a town doesn't have much to be cheerful about these days, so it's been great to see how the town has rallied round the club since we dropped out of the league. That's huge for non league!!
Bet that was a cracking atmosphere
