Offloading Timo Werner could be acceptable for Postecoglou and now, according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, Napoli have had ‘exploratory contacts’ for the German attacker.

How can we offload someone we do not even own?

I guess we would need to agree to the loan being terminated (if they don't have a recall option in the loan)

I don't think we would put up much of a fight (bar for compensation reasoning) and either recall one of our loans to cover/buy a new winger/go with the players we have, as we got Yang and Moore is back from his illness.

Could you imagine the scenes if this was actually a goer, and it fell through because Levy wanted compensation.

I mean we would have paid X amount for a year loan. If they cut it short I would expect around half of X back as compensation.

But yeah, I can now see him wanting more back as an inconvenience to it all, though not sure how much room he would have if it's all in the loan contract anyway.

I would imagine that would come from RB as an "refund" rather than Napoli, with Napoli then paying them the same for the loan.

Christ imagine going from Kvara on the left to Werner though 🤢

We need to find spaces for Kinsky and Spence in the EL squad, so I guess Forster and Werner would enable that.

Ange has said on the pre-gooner press conference that Werner got injured in the last game. :banghead:
